Question #1: With Nike adding the elephant print option to the ID menu and many people opting to make a ID dunk version of the SB Supremes, how will this effect the way that grails are sought after?
Question #2: Do you believe that if Nike ID continues to give more OG SB material choices that the "SB grail" may become extinct?
Question #3: Could these developments solely bottom out the "resell" market for older SB heat?
1. I can see this taking the price of the dunks down a little bit just because people (like myself) are starting to realize more and more that its just leather plastic, some stitching and glue.... None of that is worth $600 (a price I never would have paid for supremes anyways). I still love sneakers but I'm starting to see more and more that its just not worth it Nike will rerelease everything its more of just a waiting game at this point....
The best thing about my new found moments of clairvoyance is that I can once again finally enjoy my kicks. Most of us won't admit it but somewhere over the last 3-5 years hype, price, prestige and all those other foolish things made sneakers weird to just wear. At the end of the day its just shoes might as well have a run in them
2. It was either gonna be retros or Nikeid at least nike got smart and figured out a way to release GR dunks with more than likely subpar materials for a 40 dollar upcharge, cheers to them.
3. The beast has grown to big to ever bottom out, even by the creators themselves but I do believe this will cut down on a lot. Theres a sucker born every minute tho so the some people will pay no matter what the smart guys have already figured out how to get in and out of this hobby....
I know it wasn't touched on in the questions but resellers really should fear the Grey Market monster that only seems to be getting bigger and smarter as the years progress, that may ultimately be the downfall of the Resell market.
GREY MARKET X INDISTINGUISHABLE NIKE SB RETROs would be the stuff that nightmares are made of for some of these guys
