He doesn’t have a no trade clause so literally anyone can trade for him. Lynch could legitimately be picking up the phone from 20+ teams right now, meaning teams will be bidding against one another.

The price starts at a 1st and some more.

I think the Niners get more.

Hill and Adams explicitly chose their destinations(no trade clause). There wasn’t any bidding involved. Whenever the NFL top 100 comes out Deebo might be in the top 5. A team could see this as what puts them over or if your a team like the Texans a way to put asses in seats.

Either way if Lynch decides to trade he has all the chips.

Those additional 50-100 touches running the ball are not equal to the additional 50-100 touches receiving for CMC or Kamara.

The risks and potential impact on career longevity and earnings just aren’t the same. In fact its probably the inverse for a dual threat WR vs dual threat RB.

Can see why a WR would look at where the market is heading and be like, I’m good.

My point doesn’t lye in the pitfalls of playing running back.

It lyes in the fact that other teams will want him for his versatility. So him seeking a trade so that he won’t have to run the ball doesn’t make much sense.


If we’re talking receiving ability alone he’s a really good Pro Bowl level receiver like Brandon Cooks. It’s the rushing that puts him in rare air. Any team trading for him isn’t doing it thinking he’ll be lining up wide 100% of the time.

Personally, I would still rather have A.J. Brown over Deebo. I would be lying tho if I said I wouldn't be hyped if the Jets land him.
