2020-21 NBA Offseason thread: Officially a wrap

So, many.....SO MANY intricacies to that lol.

A lot of this is dumb, media driven nonsense. All I’m saying is, the energy around how the media is reacting and has been reacting to the Clippers has been weird.

They goofed, but a lot of the **** is od. It got some real, “stay in your place” vibes.

Jeannie/Klutch have them on the payroll. Clearly.

All this harden hate for not wanting to play for a bad team in his prime is wild.
He's had good teams for a decade and he himself has come up short continuously when it counts.

He's constantly surrounded by good talent and couldn't get it done. Gotta go clout chase somewhere else now.

this + wanting a "humble" a black man taking control over his career. very suspect.

Talking about Silas here?

If so what in the world has he done wrong? :lol

"he's had good teams for a decade" because he's been on the team for a decade, not because the rockets have surrounded him with some great level of talent. he had 1 year of decent dwight and 1 good year of chris paul, and russ during the covid season. his best teammates after that have been trevor ariza, eric gordon, pj tucker, ryan anderson.

i legit have no idea what you're talking about. I'm referring to the "trade him to sac town to humble him" type posts. the need to "humble" athletes is suspect to me.

he wants out and it's looking less and less likely that the relationship is salvageable. get the best package available for him and move on.

Had no idea what you were talking about initially which is why I asked

Thought you were talking about Silas for a second. I agree with that sentiment being funny style especially coming from fans and talking heads but the man hasn't been doing himself justice tbf

No one looks good in that situation and its gotten to the point where I doubt either side caves anytime soon. Think it ends up like AD that last season and in NOLA where he has a lost season in exchange for being able to get what he wants the next offseason.

Jim for Middleton could be win win. Risky for Milwaukee but they gotta try something
This would've been realistic if they hadn't already tossed the farm away for Jrue

Pretty sure the same offer would've been compelling for Houston too

Don't see them accepting Middleton straight up without picks

Think you’re glossing over the importance of the Rockets building their philosophy around Harden; basically making Jim their system. That significantly limits the number of players you can bring in because not everyone is going to fit/want to play in that system.

Patiently waiting for Sheriff Jim to pull up to the Toyota center home opener undressed like

I think teams will wait out the Harden trade until his value decreases.

Philly won't move Harden for Simmons until at least Febuary (when Morey sees enough of how Embiid and Simmons work together with this new team makeup)
