2020-21 NBA Offseason thread: Officially a wrap

thats terrible man . The holes I could poke in it are not even funny. But the internet/propaganda has won. Not even worth it 😂🤦🏾‍♂️

please do, cause those are bums that Jordan played in comparison to what LeBron dealt wit in the Finals.

The nerve to even include these dudes :lol

Bron has clearly played better competition in the finals. It's not even an argument. I don't know why yall continue to do this. Doesn't make him better based off that, but that much is true. It's like expansion doesn't matter because he's 6 for 6.

It’s not even worth my time and energy. True stupid ****. The bar on this stuff has been lowered sooo damn low. It’s wild :lol.

Just from a glance, and to prove a quick point. Not including Kevin Johnson, Tom Chambers or Danny Ainge for the 93 Suns, while including the other players on this list at their respective times, immediately sticks out.

But I gotta get better with “not arguing with fools”.

It becomes tougher when you realize that’s a majority of the population🤦🏾‍♂️.

The West from top to bottom will be even more competitive next season but in terms of who can challenge LAL I don't think anyone really has that great of odds outside of LAC. Especially if The Bubble goes away for the Playoffs

Especially if LAL can flip Kuzma or whomever for pieces, keep KCP and also sign some veterans

I don't think Utah, Dallas and Denver will be quite ripe yet

Would have liked to see him beat MIL this year so they could include 2 Way Pro Sport Baseball 90 MPH Fastball Pat Connaughton on that chart. MJ never faced that type of athlete

This is why arguing about the GOAT is pointless. Even if LeBron got six championships, the argument would become "well it took him 12 or 13 finals trips to get to 6 championships" and the argument would become finals when percentage. For Anthony Davis might win finals MVP and that would somehow diminish things for LeBron. Even if LeBron got to six championships the argument would become TV viewership and expansion of the game or some other BS.

Arguing about this is like politics:You're not going to change certain people's minds and they will continue to move the goalpost. Jordan fans will create some category or some metric that makes him the 🐐.

The worst part about arguing about the GOAT is that Bill Russell would have at least 8 Finals MVPs if the award existed throughout his career. Him and Kareem would have five or six DPOY If it existed throughout most of their career (the first DPOY award was given out in 1983, well after Kareem's prime)

Personally, I don't like to compare players from different eras. The circumstances, rules, officiating and sports medicine advancements makes it impossible to compare players from the 60s and 70s to players now. It's a fool's errand. Bill Russell dominated an era with fewer teams and no free agency. Magic benefited from being drafted into a great organization that already had an MVP level player, Jordan benefited from playing during the expansion era where the talent pool was watered down, LeBron is benefiting from playing in the player empowerment era where he can move teams and he's able to have a much longer career do the incredible medical advancements that players from other areas just didn't have.

Bill Russell was the best of his era, Kareem was the best of his era, magic was the best of his era, Jordan was the best of his era and LeBron is the best of his era. Why can't we just leave it at that?

No goalpost being moved. A pretty clear standard is set . What y’all do is cultish tho. You don’t even see it. It somehow isn’t enough to consider LeBron an all time great...who’s climbing the list, and has a lil bit more work to do, to be considered “the goat”.

Nope. Y’all go back and re-write history. Post misleading memes. Tear down other players when it’s convienent. Boost other players when it’s convenient. And just get laughing emojis off, and not answer when presented with the facts . It’s Toxic.

It’s pointless as hell to keep going back and forth with it. That’s y’all man. Root for him to keep going, keep winning and do better. That’s pretty much where I’m at with it.

How many imaginary rings does Lebronze have now?

They’re not imaginary - they’re value adjusted. This year counted for 3.5 because of the circumstances and I’m going to retroactively adjust 2016 to 2.5 just because 73-9 Warriors. So, that’s 8 total now. :nthat:

And Lebbers still is humble enough to take backside thirst-trap style selfies while he’s working out. For the people. GOAT.

I just seen an old video of Danny Ainge almost getting dropped by a push slap LmAo
