That's why I never got excited about the Cubs "being in the lead"

Good for the Yanks. Excited to see what he can do.

love this signing by the yanks :lol

can't wait to tee off on the dude

(yes, this is how i am coping with the yanks getting another "big name" player. leave me alone :lol )

Still think Yankees are the Wild Card team.

Have no 8th inning guy, or guy who can take Closer over if David Robertson can't handle that Mariano successor spotlight.

DRob is one of the best 8th inning guys, but I'm worried that he is very methodical and will use a lot of pitches to get you out.

I don't want to rely on Thorton as the 8th inning guy when he was brought here as the LOOGY. Claiborne, Kelly, Betances are 6th & 7th guys.

Balfour, Rodney are still out there. Over the $189m goal they wanted by almost $10mil, can't stay content.

I'm also not too pleased with the general lack of depth / injury proneness of the infield.

Rosenthal: A's sign O'Flaherty to 2-year deal after Tommy John surgery

O'Vembrel is no more :{

Damn. Good luck to him in the Bay. No worries in Atlanta, we'll just sign a high school history teacher and bring him on as our 7th inning setup man

Atlanta fans: did us A's fans get a good one with O'Flaherty assuming his TJ surgery solves his injury? His numbers look great before he got hurt.

LHRP-O'Flaherty, Doolittle
RHRP-Otero, Cook, Gregerson, Johnson

Is that the best bullpen in baseball?

RT @bradfo: Source: Red Sox come to terms on major league deal with Grady Sizemore.

this guy still has major league ability? can anyone shed light on where sizemore is (physically, mentally) right now? capable of contributing at an MLB level?

RT @bradfo: Sizemore has base of $750K with incentives that can push up to $6 million with Red Sox

Please tell me I'm reading that wrong.

No way.

Seriously.

Dude has been on a treadmill rehabbing since 2008.

My god.

Talk about a fall from grace, forgot all about him.

You know how they say it's all down hill after you turn 25, this guy is a real life example.

His dropoff, :eek, talk about falling off the face of the earth.

Grady Sizemore, hot tub time machine, watch the Red Sox turn his career around, :lol
