The Dodgers refuse to lose. Ethier takes Hawkins deep to tie the game in the 9th. Hawk Harrelson thinks they have the will to win lol

Vin Scully is so subdued. :lol

Was so ready to pickup LaTroy as a temp closer, but nah...I'm good after seeing that.

2 nights in a row the A's Chris Young has missed a walk off against the Astros by inches.

Last night he hit a near walkoff that needed video review to confirm a foul ball and tonight Robbie Grossman robbed what would have been a walkoff homer.

Sometimes life just isn't fair lol

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. -- Major League Baseball is expanding its video review process next season, giving managers a tool they've never had.

Commissioner Bud Selig calls it a historic moment for the game in a press conference in Cooperstown after two days of meetings with representatives of the 30 teams. The proposal is to be voted on by the owners in November.

Managers will be allowed one challenge over the first six innings of games and two after the seventh inning until the end of the game. Calls that are challenged will be reviewed by a crew in MLB headquarters in New York City, which will make the final ruling.

MLB vice president Joe Torre gave the replay presentation to representatives from all 30 teams on Wednesday and it was discussed Thursday morning.

A 75 percent vote by the owners is needed for approval and the players' association and umpires would have to agree to any changes to the current system.

Atlanta Braves President John Schuerholz, a member of the replay committee, says the umpires are receptive to the change. Schuerholz says 89 percent of incorrect calls made in the past will be reviewable.

Was just coming into this thread to post the cbssports article on that topic.  Very interesting that replay is most likely coming to baseball.  One thing that the cbs article touches on that the one macbk posted did not is this:
My initial question on the manager challenges is: How can we be sure they are challenging the call instead of buying time? For example, getting a reliever ready ASAP in the ninth inning during a "challenge" could be a stall tactic. How do we safeguard against that?
Interesting question right?

Or a manager trying to stall the opposing pitcher who is just dealing/working fast/has a no hitter just to try to throw off their rhythm

Argh. Good news is Bucs can play with St Louis. But could've swept this series in all honesty. Oh well

The NL Central race is going to be tight, but I can see the two that don't win the crown grab the two WC spots.

East: Braves
Central: Bucs
West: Dodgers
WC: Cards
WC: Reds

The AL is going to be interesting, only division you can say is locked up (IMO) is the Central. Otherwise, there can be some interesting division races in the AL. Pay attention I will.

threw my remote for the first time because of a baseball game lol
