This Yankees team is hard to watch. Never feel like we can come back when we get down 2+ runs. Not good.

Good to see Baltimore and Pittsburgh doing well though. They have good fans, and since they have been putting a better product on the field PNC and Camden have been packed. Gotta expect the Buccos to come back to earth soon, they're playing 4 games ABOVE their expected winning percentage, but regardless it's pretty cool.

LOL even through this situation the patriots winning the east and the dolphins got a chance to snag a wild card...y'all will be at the bottom with buffalo

And Colon has become one of my favorite pitchers to watch. Dude throws gasss

I remember the offseason a lot of us O's fans were kinda pissed that they didn't go after Josh Hamilton to get some more pop in the lineup...Buck and DD knew EXACTLY what they had w/ Crush and had the EZ-pass on Hamilton. That's why they're the experts....

Starting pitching on the other hand...oy vey.

Yup..and the relief pitching isn't doing this team any favors either. Johnson has been poor, but that's the nature of RP. Best bullpen one year can be one of the worst the very next year. Such a shame, though. Difference between first and second may come down to those blown opportunities.

Glad the O's finally have a power hitter opposing fans find worthy of PED accusations.:lol And while I hate to second guess Buck, you have to wonder if Crush should be in that clean-up slot.

Sweeping the Yanks is always fun :hat

Last year it was the bullpen that was keeping the team afloat in all those one-run wins. THis year, it's the offense carrying the load.

Buck knows a million times more baseball than me, but if I was in charge of the lineup, I'd do this:

McClouth
Markakis
Machado
Davis
Jones
Hardy
Wieters
Flaherty
*Roberts

O's may make a trade for Garza

They need a #1 or #2 in the worst way. I think Tillman, despite his record, is a good #3. Garza would be a huge boost to the rotation. I just wonder what it would take to land him. Even with the TJ surgery, I'm sure Bundy is still off limits as is Gausman.

*edit*

Good article in the WaPo the other day on Crush.

By July 2011, a motivated Davis — “I was playing for 29 other teams at that point,” he said — was making a mockery of Class AAA pitching, hitting .368 with a .405 on-base percentage and an .824 slugging percentage, with 24 homers in 48 games.

One of the opposing GMs trying to pry him away from the Rangers was Baltimore’s Andy MacPhail, who had already agreed with Rangers counterpart Jon Daniels on the framework of a deal that would send ace reliever Koji Uehara to Texas in exchange for pitcher Tommy Hunter. But MacPhail wanted Davis added to the deal, and the Rangers responded by insisting the Orioles kick in a substantial amount of cash to offset Uehara’s salary.

The Orioles refused — until a separate trade with the Pirates that sent first baseman Derrek Lee to Pittsburgh freed up some cash, and the Orioles agreed to send $2 million to the Rangers. The deal was done.

THANK YOU, Pittsburgh!!

Dude played high school football w/ Trent Williams (Skins) and Williams said that Davis was the strongest guy he knew at the time.

Starting pitching is the problem not relievers. You can't expect to repeat last season especially when our starters can't go more than 5 1/3. With bundy shut down for 2 years we gotta depend on wada and Chen to come back, but wada looks terrible in his rehab starts. Gausman can still help this season down the stretch.

And you can't really blame people for saying crush is on roids; Brady Anderson

I wouldn't keep Markakis that high. I'd drop him to 5th and move everyone up one. Especially Machado, he needs to be hitting second.

I personally think the O's should make a big push for Garza and Peavy. Take out that one game against Cincy from Garza and he's been pretty damn good so far. The velo will come back.
