yeah thats what the mets should do deplete the system for a guy that can't stay healthy with a horrible contract

Can you say Jason Bay part 2?
and then we'll go another 5 years without spending any money since the wilpons will be bitter. keep tulo away from this team unless they give up gee and some other mid level prospect and colorado pays some salary.

If the Mets trade for Tulo, we'll probably give up a pick that'll blow up in the Mets faces and he'll end up thriving the way Carlos Gomez did, and last I checked...where's Johan Santana?  Oh, that's right, he's done in Baltimore.  I'm tired of the Mets getting hemmed up with overpaid, injury prone talent that was successful elsewhere, but then comes to NY and forgets how to play period

Tulo would be a game changer for the Mets. I'd take their playoff talk for this year seriously if they acquired him. A team starting Wilmer Flores or Ruben Tejada at SS is going nowhere. I know it's a small sample size, but in 58 PAs (13 games) at Citi Field Tulo hit as many homers as Tejada did from 2013-2014. Sometimes to get to the top you've gotta take a risk, and I'd take the risk on Tulo.

If they want Thor, it's a horrible r/r set up. If they want mid level prospects, I'd entertain it. I am not trading Syndergaard for anyone with a bloated contract and injury history.

Too much *****ing from Mets fans. Tulo isn't anything like Jason Bay. It sucks that Tulo has some injury problems but the Mets make plenty of money for that contract. Mets have great pitching, just need a few bats

david ross is signing with padres

As the game of catcher musical chairs plays out and SD,Boston fill catching spots,David Ross's best natural option might be the Cubs/Lester.

problem is the Wilpons don't want to spend money so if they spend it here and it backfires its the past 5 years all over again where we do nothing.

Pretty much every team makes bad deals and overpays players. I listen to Mets fans call in The Fan all the time and complain. You want good players or not? Tulo is a good player, yall need him.

Mets fans always ***** and always get cocky in apr/may only to be ghost by july

Would love for Tulo to come back home. Tulo at SS and Seager at the hot corner in 2016... Man!

Rockies won't trade within the division though.

:lol at comparing jason bay to Tulo. Johan didn't have a big injury history before coming over and yes his shoulder fell apart but even with hindsight you still pull the trigger on that deal. Who knows if Gomez would've panned out in Citi Field.

If you're a Padres fan, are there any?, there should be a little concern that Peller just completely depleted the farm system for 3 high risk, high reward players. If Myers and Kemp are healthy and Upton stays sharp then he'll look like a genius. However if Myers and Kemp continue to deal with injuries and Upton bounces after 2015... Well, talk about pie in the face.

If you're an NY fan and you don't want Tulo, you deserve the misery that is the cellar in the NL East. Hands down the best all around SS in baseball, miscues are few and far between, his biggest issue is staying healthy. Plus, the Mets are not the Yankees, scrutiny isn't the same.

So, you question the Padres for depleting the farm system for injury concerns, then suggest the Mets should deplete their farm system for a guy with injury concerns? :\

Gomez wasn't even good during Johan's mets tenure. Santana was dominant for us. I do that trade every time.

only mets fan to get cocky is a moron. i never believe in this team doing much of anything.

I really hope the Mets acquire Troy Tulowitzki. I am a fan of his game. I am fine if we give up too much. Tulowitzki is definitely worth it. Mets overrate their prospects too much.

Not really saying they should make the trade or what pieces are involved. Just the theory NY'ers have (misguided as always and with little basis) that "player A won't thrive in NY", :lol

Even then Tulo and Wright on the left side of the infield, have to like that. One thing you can say about Tulo is when he is healthy he produces.

Can't say the same thing about Myers and Kemp, even though Kemp finally seemed to turn the corner in the second half of last year. 2012, 2013 and the first half of 2014 were hard to bear.

Derek Norris to the Padres.

Padres going crazy this offseason. All 11 of their fans should be feeling really good right now.

If you can get him without trading Thor, great sign me up.

Can't move Syndergaard.

Harvey
Wheeler
DeGrom
Thor
Niese

that's a diesel rotation

Padres are making other low cost moves. The Norris acquisition and buying low on Middlebrooks. Solid, IMO

i can't get mad at johan he was the best mets pitcher of this millennium and maybe even in a longer time than that. guy was brilliant in every outing. he gets hurt so be it, the guy was brilliant in his tenure.
