Even when we were good we were disappointing. Patrick was carrying a team of goons and has beens. Don't know how he did it. To their credit, those goons were GREAT defensively.

Frank by far, at least Mardy had a couple decent games. My personal favorite disaster pick was Mike Sweetney.

I always say Mike Sweetney was far from a bad player. He just liked the buffet too much and his father dying didn't help.
He could've been a solid starting PF. He had a post game and was a real good offensive rebounder, definitely wasn't easy to move on the block either.

yeah worst case scenario he should've been a big off the bench that got buckets but he had his personal issues.

Exactly I enjoyed watching him play college ball
I vaguely remember reading an interview with Charles Smith where he states that he had a knee injury that fully prevented him from making a good attempt at that layup. He said he didn't wanna use it as an excuse so he never told anyone

The last time I was truly upset with this team was during our playoff series against Boston. And we actually won that series but the way they played convinced me they weren't ready. That hurt.

You what made that series worse? We were up 2-0 and got smacked in Game 3. We lost series in that game. We were the best team in the league that year.
