Lol

^ dadi nicolas only 98th? Definitely going to surprise some osu fans come gameday.

He's a good speed rusher off the edge but I worry about him defending against the run against a bigger back like Elliot (and Cardale if he plays).

If Urban is smart he will look at how Miami, Pitt, and BC played us last year and just pound us into submission and hit a few big PA's over the top. Granted we had crucial injuries in the front 7 for those games, but it's still a small defense that can get manhandled by good OL/RB's. Plus our starting safety got kicked out of school for a BS charge so whoever plays safety will be new and liable to bite on play fakes/cheat the run.

When they originally announced the suspensions for Bosa and Marshall etc I kinda perked up a little bit, but as I just typed that out I slowly convinced myself we have no chance :lol

smh, ye of little faith lol. Blacksburg is going to be rocking! I don't necessarily have any gripes on defense because Bud is going to bring his A game. Our secondary matches up perfectly with their receivers, I honestly might think we have an edge on them in that category. Elliot however is a beast, but I do believe we'll bring pressure in the 4-4 and 5-2.

I think it's going to come down our offense. Brewer needs to have a damn near perfect game. cam phillips, isiah ford, and bucky hodges have the playmaking ability to make brewers job easier.  Our running game will be revamped with the likes of marshawn williams and trey edmunds coming back and being healthy. While J.C can bounce it to the outside. I think It's going to be a closer game than most people expect.

I always wondered. IS Jalen Hurd soft and terrible? Or great? I feel like espn analysts and tee martin are saying opposite things.

Gonna be a sick game no doubt. I hope osu comes out with revenge on the mind.

I wasn't so worried about us losing a few offensive people because we definitely have more to plug and play but bosa loss hurts.

Dontre Wilson just probably cost himself the next 2 years. If Curtis Samuel/Braxton have a coming out party then he is gonna find himself on the sidelines a lot

If Brewer manages to not be garbage it could be a great game

If not VT will probably hold them down for a while but eventually the playmakers will take over and they will get washed by 3 TD's

Marshawn won't be 100% for quite some time, and definitely not for the OSU game. Edmunds' running style is wack :lol way too stiff and upright. I'm hoping McMillan or McLease can show something. Ideally Cam and Ford make a jump in year two but I'm still undecided what their ceilings are; they're both pretty good possession guys but neither is a burner or elusive after the catch. OSU DB's put the clamps on a lot of very good offenses after they played us last year so I'm skeptical of us making any big plays down field.

I think Brewer played the game of his life last year; I can't see a repeat performance but maybe I'm just a pessimist. I hope they throw Lawson out there in some packages (because he is going to get PT this year). I know they hate to throw a true freshman out against the #1 team in the country but IDGAF. Plus dude is already like 20 years old :lol

Aside from the revenge factor, I think the talent gap is just waaaay too big. I mean, this is largely the same group that scored 0 points against Wake Forest last year :lol I'll be encouraged if we keep it close, but ultimately I'm just counting down the days til Beamer is gone so we can hopefully kickstart this program with a younger coach.
