Former #Miami blue-chip QB recruit Kevin Olsen announces via instagram he's going to transfer to Towson.

Oregon State interviewed Norm Chow? Is that some kind of minority candidate thing? Would have made my christmas if he left.

If Minnesota wanted a QB via transfer or JUCO, is there any viable candidate that somebody here would have a rap sheet on...? Big Ten transfer QB candidates not applicable, I mean that's obvious but.

#1 OG in the nation and verbal commit to LSU Maea Teuhema is taking an official visit to UCLA January 23rd.

Oh, and Eric Kendricks can win the Butkus Award, be listed first team All American, but only get second team within the Pac-12?

Multiple sources tell AuburnUndercover that Will Muschamp has emerged as a candidate for the Houston job.

Considering the job only opened three days ago, the Cougars are likely still in the process of vetting candidates. Houston has a history of hiring offensive-minded coaches and most assumed they would follow the same path this time around.

It appears Houston is at least intrigued by Mushcamp. Having coached at Texas, he has recruiting ties in the state and is certainly the biggest name the program could land.

There are also rumors Muschamp might entertain NFL offers, though most sources believe he'd prefer to stay in college. The Saints will likely be be looking for a new defensive coordinator. Former Muschamp associates Dan Quinn and Adam Gase are widely expected to land NFL jobs as well.

TheBigSpur.com reported Wednesday night that Muschamp has not ruled out South Carolina. The Gamecocks have offered him, in essence a “promise” to succeed Steve Spurrier as head coach. Sources tell TheBigSpur that, within the past 48 hours, they feel more confident about their chances.

AuburnUndercover continues to believe that Muschamp will most likely end up at Auburn, though we continue to stress nothing is done. We reported Wednesday that Gus Malzahn has a backup plan and that he will likely move on quickly if Muschamp declines. Memphis defensive coordinator Barry Odom and UAB head coach Bill Clark are high on that list, but they are not alone.

Playoffs stay at 4 for a few years to intentionally force conversation about who got left out?

"If we go to 8, maybe teams 9 and 10 aren't very good at all."

6 team playoff ensures no sorry stragglers get into a playoff. 6 is more than enough with top 2 getting a bye week

Perfect model

One NFL scout revealed to Bob McGinn that former Washington junior CB Marcus Peters "tried to strangle a coach on the sidelines."
This led to Peters' first suspension. "Then they let him back on the team and he did it all over again," the scout said of Peters. "Try selling that to your head coach." We have seen numerous prospects enter the NFL with "character concerns." This makes Peters' potential draft slot impossible to project despite the obvious talent he offers.

You don't think it's unfair to arbitrarily give two teams an extra week to rest and prepare while the other 4 are getting banged up and tired?

not if they deserve the seeding
But this year, does an Oregon team that lost at home to Arizona deserve a bye ahead of an undefeated FSU team? TCU was ranked 3rd with 1 loss. What if they'd gone undefeated? Would you reward a 12-0 TCU with another bye ahead of a team that was also undefeated but won an additional conference championship game?

In theory a national champion could play 14 games while their opponent is in their 16th.
