2015-2016 NBA Regular Season - MDA to HOU - All-NBA - Harden snubbed - Anthony Davis is broke

A Kyrie of three years ago wasn't able to carry a team to the playoffs by himself, and I think it's safe to say a Dame of three years ago wouldn't have been able to do that either (and by carry I mean be the No. 1 option on a team). I would like to see the effects of swapping the two right now to see the impact.
Bro, three years ago Kyrie was 20, 21 years old man.

Damian Lillard is 25 right now.

That's a HUGE difference.

Right.....

I'm not comparing the 20-year old version of one and the 25-year old version of the other. I'm saying Kyrie and LA would've been just as good as Dame and LA even if Kyrie didn't make the playoffs by himself in the East 2-3 years ago when it was him and Waiters, Thompson, etc.

But what I said last week or so still rings true.

Damian Lillard has been awfully impressive this year. I assumed his scoring would see an uptick, but I felt like his efficiency would take a nosedive. He already (coming into this season) was an irrational 3 pt shooter who took A LOT of bad ones but to see his usage spike up like crazy and for him to remain relatively efficient, it's dope to see. Expanding as a playmaker as well this season.

And, they're winning.

I DVR'd the Lenny Cooke documentary and watched it this morning.

Just holy ******* ****. Drinking Smirnoff Ice on camera, police coming and cameras still filming, getting paid for autographs on camera where you actually catch the exchange and the girl deadpans the camera, talking "hair tousle"-type stuff about Melo because he played better than him in that one game, signing the autograph and telling the kid his name was Lenny and the best...

Sean Miller mic'd up, caught in the stands talking to one of his assistants about how the night before -- a day before Cooke played an A.M. game with scouts throughout -- he walked right past Cooke at 4:30 a.m. walking through one of the Vegas clubs.

I suppose 28-27 is winning ball, but that's offensive to standards tbh. I'm not saying you have to be down on him or the season (even with the Jazz right on POR/HOU's heels) but where is Dame over the long haul going to take this realistically, and if he's not taking it anywhere important then nearly everyone on the roster should be available to talk about in trade discussions. Just talk if something comes up or for inquiring re: someone else's interest in a big trade - Great win vs. GSW, really, but I just see purgatory unless McCollum turns out to be really special but yeah I don't know about that. He's a great scorer and is young at that, but this seems like a situation that could result in them being stuck in the middle or topping out at a sixth seed for years.

And I feel like that's where you've been for a decade. Four seed one year maybe? did it rise higher than that ever in the most recent era?

They still ishin' on Dwight over sports media, damn

Mchale has been stampeding over that Houston team since they cut him loose :lol. Saying harden came to camp out of shape, Dwight sitting out every other game and now this.

He's a garbage coach tho

I don't think he's been "stampeding" at all, as he never said anything wrong

He definitely is a trash coach though. Love him as a commentator/analyst, but as a coach he's abysmal, and very much instilled that same style in JBB and the rest of that staff.

Late pass on the Vince Carter interview, but it's really good

This is Dame's defining year so far tho. Many thought the Blazers would be one of the worst teams in the L.

Wonder who the Blazers will target in FA this summer
Leonard/Crabbe are free agents and McCullom/Plumlee are eligible for extensions this summer.

Granted they could/are expendable.

This is a joke right?
No. Dude whines about being an all star snub more than he attempts to improve his game.
He's still a hell of a player he just needs to cut out the primadonna BS.
Needs to go on the Steph trademarked bouncing a tennis ball blindfolded naked on fire with two basketballs and one hand tied behind his back workout.

Do the Wizards have a chance to win the division (not that it matters)? I think yes, there's a definite chance based on the current makeup. They're 13 to 1 on 5D right now. 4.5 games out...

Winning the Southeast is a long shot. I definitely see them getting a playoff spot. Defense has been much better lately, finally a healthy roster managing Beals minutes and Morris is a upgrade over Humph and Blair. If we go 3-1 over the next 4 before playing Cleveland we'll be in great shape.

Now that I think about it more, I wonder if the Blazers will regret being this good in three years a la the Suns.

It's funny to watch how much the consensus narratives of players fluctuate on NT.

Kyrie scores 55

"Lol who said dame was better than Kyrie"

Dame score 51

"Lol who said Kyrie was better than Dame"

AD drags the Pelicans into the playoffs

"Best player in the NBA"

Pelicans miss the playoffs

"AD is overrated"

Never seen something more accurate on NT

Happens in the playoffs too

Home team wins Game 1

"Oh this is gonna be easy. They're gonna win in 4 or 5"

Home team loses Game 2

"They're gonna regret losing HC. Series is over in 5 or 6"

Home team loses Game 3

"They didn't take advantage of stealing homecourt. It's over"

Damn you were serious.
I can't debate this and I'm not for or against what you think but it did shock me.

Here's why: When the Kings were hot this year and knocking of everyone and Rondo was a nightly DD and Boogie was just doing whatever he wanted to whoever...well Portland had just finished beating like the Mavs (not sure if Mavs) in a Double OT or something and during the post game on court interview the reporter asks Dame....

Reporter: So Dame, you had a big game and have a 3 day break coming up, how does it feel to get a win like this with rest coming, you and the mates going to hit the town tonight? (Loose quote)

Dame: Party? We have the Kings coming up next who are on fire, I'm going to go right home and watch the game tapes on Rondo and company: that's my only concern

I find it hard to believe he doesn't put in  more than his own fair share of work nah mean.

Can't confirm, just my outlook

Dame has been improving, but I think dude could be better than he is right now if he wasn't such an Instagram dude.
Lamarcus has improved since he deleted his social media. I think the same would benefit a lot (especially younger) players.
A lot of it I blame on the surrounding team though. We're not built in any way to contend right now beyond Dame and Urkel. I don't know what our goal is, free agency?

Warriors gave up the most points in regulation of any defending champion since 1986. In 86 it was the Warriors doing it against the Lakers.

Guys at his level work insanely hard. That's crazy talk.
