Warriors have a higher chance of winning 73 wins, than Kobe does making a field goal on the basketball court :lol :rollin

ewwwwwwwww :x dudes having flair-ups. ol valtrex *** ******

Why wouldn't he? Doesn't seem like lebron has any trouble getting to the rack and his first step isn't close to mike's. Also what's gonna stop him from posting up and hitting faders all day like kobe did in the zone era? The rules are different but I really don't think it's drastic enough to where you can say a guy like mj wouldn't be effective when other players are still out here cooking.

Sorry zone or combo zone if mike played against teams today

3rd Summer League he will miss right?

At least we got him on Twitter for a brief stint.

Uhhh...Jordan wouldn't even be able to go because Rodman fouled him according to our current standards of what's a foul

I didn't mention anything about defense differences, just a rule difference.

go watch how chris pual defended steph curry in the playoffs during that GSW clippers series and tell me again if that's called a foul in the playoffs.
I can see that. I just hate how some NBA refs call some ticky tack fouls nowadays and do it at random spurts of the game.

I don't disagree with your defense thing, because defensive schemes are more complex now, I just wanted to take a shot at current reffing, which is atrocious :x

And MJ would have split any and every defender on the helpside of the zone.

Dudes don't want to get up on Curry because fear of embarrassment,  Imagine MJ as  Current Curry x3 in today's current defensive schemes

Buyout.

CBS Sports says Joe wants an extension though.

 We'll see.

Steve Novak is also expected to get bought out. Look for him to join the Cavs.

Just was making sure :lol

I seen people in this thread say things like Jordan and Lebron are basically the same player or Kobe was a better scorer than Jordan.

As beautiful as that fade away looks, I remember Jordan doing some pretty creative stuff driving to the basket. His finesse game was def better than the early power game.

I remember as a kid, watching him play the Knicks. He would either blow past his defender, or catch the ball in the perimeter and do work in the post. He was practically unguardable post 1995.

prime kobe was, imo, a better scorer. dude could not be stopped by anybody. outscoring full teams.

I mean I know the rules are different but it's not like dudes never beat their man off the dribble and get all the way to rack anymore. Zone defense wasn't gonna slow down mj. He played against zone defense in dc. Even in that clip there's a second defender waiting for him at the rack.

What I will say is that the lack of hand checking is greatly exaggerated. Defenders still hand check and lean on their man all the damn time.

1. I'm not saying Jordan would be garbage, I'm simply saying it was harder to score. It's not an opinion its a fact, def ratings were like a full point higher in the 90's.

2. Jordan had a sub .500 TS% in DC so he wasn't exactly an efficient scorer.

3. I didn't say that player never beat their man to the, I''m just saying its tougher than it was in the 90's, defenses pre rotate, look at Lebron vs GSW, they didn't have to out right double like you would in the 90's, they just shade guys to his side of the court and wall off the paint.

86 playoff Jordan rolling over in his grave.
93 playoff Jordan rolling over in his grave

I got to see both prime MJ and prime Kobe. The similarities are glaring. Pretty much watching the same player. I'd give Kobe a slight edge, because his game extended out to the 3-point line. Jordan was the more efficient scorer though.

all im saying is...

Jordan played in an era where it was the easiest time to be an elite isolation/post up scorer.

doubles had to be executed upon the catch, often making obvious passes one pass away, ect ect.

It's no diffrent than saying Wilt and Russel played in the best time to be a C. doesn't diminish greatness.
