The speculation is it was Harden.
Whoa. Hory shet.

Ainge and Wyc are surprisingly transparent for being GM/Owner in a professional sports league. They're about as candid as you'll ever find a management group to be. I like hearing their interviews.

If I was a Celtics fan, I'd be pretty happy they didn't pull the trigger on a Harden trade. He's kind of opposite from a lot of what currently makes the Celtics good - unselfishness, defensive intensity, etc.

all it'll take is one Jimmer pull up 3 for NYers to call up Francesa saying he should start & get 30 mins a night

Actually in the moderen NBA jordan doesn't make it all the way to the basket because a second defender is zoned up on the strong side waiting to stop the drive.

It's such a misconception that defenses were better, it was easier to score in the 90's.

Wow this is so True.
in the same series.

not a chance. draymond and iggy gonna deactivate bron again. have him shooting in the low 30%s again. kyrie has nothing for curry. kyrie really not even that impressive any more. steph wasn't biting on any of those handles. T-1000 Klay gonna lock up jr smith. Bogut gonna break TT.

Cleveland's only chance is Channin frye. lol. good luck with that.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

you laughing. what's funny? clearly you missed the next line. that's guaranteed to happen.

the thing i love the most about cp0's defense is his improvement in the end. the first few years he was in the league, he was an average defender at best IMO. if i recall correctly, he wasn't that good in that end until he tore his ACL(?) and a summer after the olympics.

damn i didnt know cp3 tore his acl???

geez. that makes him even more impressive to me. must've been NO cp3. i never watched those games.

I believe it was his MCL in 2009-10.

But he's always been regarded as pesky on defense.

drummond is out of shape? how sway? i agree with the jackson isn't ready yet. what about with the new additions though? And Pope coming back?
Maybe I'm being a little hard on Drummy.

His vert in the ASG was the last indicator for me, it was a few inches lower than it is.

Maybe he's tired. And he lags on the court in real game situations.

You know that shaky leg feeling you get after a good leg workout,

well Drummy has it shortly after half-time. Out of shape or In shape, I say out.

He's still my mans though..

actually i'm tripping. he tore the cartilage in his left knee but after that he was hella slow and wore a knee brace. i wanna say it took him a couple years before he was somewhat back athletically. his floaters turned into his mid-range jumpers :hat

I mean I know the rules are different but it's not like dudes never beat their man off the dribble and get all the way to rack anymore. Zone defense wasn't gonna slow down mj. He played against zone defense in dc. Even in that clip there's a second defender waiting for him at the rack.

What I will say is that the lack of hand checking is greatly exaggerated. Defenders still hand check and lean on their man all the damn time.

But MJ wouldn't continuously attack the basket like many of you are suggesting. He did a lot of his work in the perimeter and post.

Besides, he'd go to the line way more in today's game.

Why wouldn't he? Doesn't seem like lebron has any trouble getting to the rack and his first step isn't close to mike's. Also what's gonna stop him from posting up and hitting faders all day like kobe did in the zone era? The rules are different but I really don't think it's drastic enough to where you can say a guy like mj wouldn't be effective when other players are still out here cooking.

I was agreeing with you. MJ was stronger than Kobe too, and did better work under the free throw line. But what really set him apart from everyone else was when he learned how to continuously be effective with his back to the basket and did rely so much on his explosiveness.
