Why not? He's already a starter and a top two option. I don't see why he wouldn't re-up for the next 4-5 years because of Kobe on his death bed is still around.

He wont have an optimal opportunity to be aggressive and he wont be put in a position to shine (bring back Dantoni) but everytime he touches the ball is an opportunity to be aggressive.
Hopefully he realises the situation he's in and takes it upon himself to create rather than letting things come to him

The limitation on what other teams can offer Clarkson decidedly puts the Lakers in the driver's seat, should re-signing him at a high dollar amount become the priority.
