Neither does the Yankee brass that's why we gave Gardie that extensionnot buying into that center fielder just yet ... my yankee fandom wont let me .....
he needs to wait and in 2 years hell get that 10 years 300 mill from us
just heard it on the radio
i don't think he'll take it. taking an extension to me just says you have no faith in your ability to land the big deal. he has the chance to change sports with the kinda deal he can land, i don't think his people will let him .... i have been wrong ....
2014: $2 million salary and $10 million signing bonus
2015: $13 million salary
2016: $22 million salary
2017: $30 million salary
2018: $35 million salary
2019: $38 million salary
And that contract is a really good deal for the Angels. Rarely do players in their prime get the $ they're worth. Cano is at or about past his prime now but he is being paid like he's just about to start it. Same thing happened with Pujols.....Trout getting paid at the right time rarely happens, but then again, not sure we've seen anyone like him EVER.
The more I hear about the deal, the more I think Trout should sign it. He's not arbitration eligible yet so the Angels can pay him whatever they want this season. Probably under $1 mil like they paid last season. Then you figure he's not gonna get $15+ million in arbitration his first time even though he deserves it. He may up getting $15-20 mil in arbitration his last year before free agency. Judging by Yahoos potential breakdown of a contract, Trout would get $35 and $38 mil for his 1st two years of free agency and $30 mil for an arbitration year which is unbelievable.
For the love of god, extend Robertson too.
For the love of god, extend Robertson too.
I think if he proves his worth this year they will
