Parsons is a solid player but not fpr that type of money

Hes not a difference maker like that for the Mavs

Tyson Chandler was the difference maker for the Mavericks in 2011. One could argue that the team they have right now is more talented than what they had in 2011.

Rick doesn't need elite pieces to do some work. Just needs good players. Chandler and Chandler are a step in the right direction. Severely overpriced though.

At this point, if he doesn't go back to the Cavs he'll be vilified waaaay more than even after The Decision. Everybody thinks it's going to happen and wants it to happen. At least in 2010 a lot of us thought he was leaving, we just thought he'd go to the Knicks instead of joining up with Wade and Bosh.

The rest of the west has also gotten more talented tho.

Wait don't you mean Chandler and Parsons?

The defending back-to-back champions weren't talented in 2011? Or Russ/KD/Serge/Harden?

Oh.

The West has always been tough. The only difference now is that LAC is a powerhouse instead of LAL.
None of those OKC players were in their prime like they are NOW! Let's be real now.

Mentioning the west without mentioning the spurs...

I mentioned the two powerhouses that the Mavericks spanked in the Western Conference. :lol

Regardless if they were in their primes or not, they still had Harden, Ibaka, Durant, and Russ all healthy in the Playoffs.

Just look at the rosters :{

The 2011 WC playoffs featured the Hornets, a Laker team on it's last legs, a banged up spurs team, the blazers with Andre miller being the second leading scorer

In 2014 the Spurs are an offensive swiss army knife, a deep clippers team, OKC with three players in their in prime, etc... 1-9 were all playoff caliber teams.

Gave me chills...

Did the creator of this use to make commercials Jordan brand or something?

Was really dope

drizzy said it best man. "win for the ages"

lebron can win anywhere else with other stars, who cares if he win 3-4 more rings. he'll never been mj, or even kobe. but win even one with the cavs, and bruh, your legacy will be remembered far greater imo. hometown kid :hat

Basically. Tired of that narrative along with them not being selfish. If Duncan was playing in New York or LA, he's not taking $10 mil. What he took was relative to the market and what they had to spend, not for the better of the team :rolleyes. They killing but never won back to back.

Man if the Spurs get Pau its gonna be tough for anyone to beat them next year :{ he would fit in perfectly in that system.

NBA News: Grizz free agent James Johnson has agreed in principle to a two-year contract with the Raptors, a source told @CBSSports.

Spurs have the same amount of salary cap as the rest of the league.
If Duncan and that team had "Knicks"on their jersey they'd still have the same cap, and he'd still only be able to take so much to keep his team in tact.
He didn't take less just because they are small market, he took less to maintain the team.
He'd do the same if their Uni's read something other than Spurs and hailed from NY or LA.
It's called sacrifice for the greater good, not in spite of, but because of
