Houston and Parsons, a restricted free agent, negotiated throughout day, but were unable to come to an agreement on a deal, sources said.
This is the most interesting tidbit of this entire story IMO.
Parsons says, "You don't want to give me my money? Okay cool, I'll force your hand then."
Lots of dominoes could fall into place the next few days. Either that, or Chandler Parsons ends up in Dallas, and we're still stuck waiting on LeBron, Melo, and Bosh.
I'd like to see plenty of Chandler-to-Chandler alley-oops, but I'm not holding my breath.
Plus, 15 million is far more than what I wanted to pay for my starting SF.
Rather have Pierce or Luol for about 7-8 million, and get a better starting PG and send Raymond packing.
That said, Raymond has committed himself into getting into shape. Taken with a gigantic grain of salt, but we'll see.
