Doesn't matter if Chicago pays the difference, they get the cap relief and would have to pay regardless.

cap relief sounds good.

then factor in you have a stingy owner paying a guy 10 million that isn't on his roster. you think that owner is shelling out cash because he has cap space now?

Why would he care if the bulls have to pay the difference?

It doesn't come out of his pocket and it doesn't effect the team.
Owners spending money regardless on what its on affects the team, especially when its a team known for being cheap like the Bulls are. You know theyre praying that someone gives this guy like 6 million

The premature nut busting in here and all over the internet is insane.

No matter what happens there's gonna be a group of people that have set themselves up to have their hearts broken and spirits crushed.

Whatever happened to waiting it out before talking big ****? We dead *** have like a week's worth of #summerjamscreen #NeverForget type material.

Nothing but pure gold in this thread right now.

The letter wasn't tactful or appropriate. ESPECIALLY since it was penned by the owner of the team for the entire public to see. On top of it all, he came at Lebron like a jilted, petty, and POSSESSIVE, ex. Lebron, while handling things poorly (the first go-round), was well within his rights to leave. On a level of how you treat your "employees," I'd expect better from the owner of a team. Just my .02

Yall know ******* well that it was some **** back in 2010. The fact it was still up on the Cavs site up until 4 days ago is telling and pathetic. Don't try to spin it any other way...everything that I said in the first paragraph, I believe is true.

narcissistic, self-promotional build-up

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING' WINS ONE"

shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

heartless and callous action
The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Majority Owner

:lol

We almost need to split up the duties... having to compile all those quotes is a large task for any one person :lol.

No matter how the pieces for Cavs are looking I just can't see Lebron going back knowing that letter was written. If that letter wasn't written I would already believe Nike & Sprite shot their Return of the King commercials already.

Dan Gilbert was just acting like that one crazy ex with that comic sans letter
Good publicity stunt doe

i saw a letter lying on the floor...

that letter was not written by a male.....
and that's the main reason I don't see it as being some "slave owner" rant....

it was the rant of a person that just got cheated on....

"after all I did for you, you cheating *****.... I gave you the world... treated you good... put a ring on your finger..... "

that's how I took it anyway... son was full of feels at the thought of his bae being dicked down in Miami ...it tore him apart

I ain't even mad at him.... I wouldn't have done it, but I get it

Animal Thug wanna put up his SN if Bron doesn't back? 8o

Heat fans trying to stay out of this thread in the event Lebron leaves and they have to put their Cleveland faces on....

if he stays, gonna be a wave of ****** in here on that "see, I told y'all....the media dont know ****.... Riley the Don... parade time... whewwww"

Mo Williams on a flight to Cleveland as we type

nah :lol

:lol remember this like it was yesterday
I can picture Wade doing this if Lebron does leave.

Such a misleading gif though without the backstory because all the Cavs was so on LeBron's nuts the first half, in fact him and Mo Williams arrived at the arena together. And after LeBron destroyed them in the first, coach (Byron Scott iirc) told them stop being so nice to him so Mo came out and tried to act all brand new like he wasn't gonna reattach himself back to Bron's nuts after the final buzzer sounded.

And the racial aspect of the letter is undeniable, especially once he started talking about how he was going to expose LeBron. You had no problem with any of those things when it was making you money, now he wants to take his talents elsewhere and line someone else's pockets with them and it's a problem. How dare you employees exercise control over your own career and destiny?

there's been a sprinkle of heat fans in here -- which accurately reflects their fanbase

they gonna be beating down the gates after he says he's staying

Lol what do you want us to say? Cavs are making the moves to sign him. All we have is a meeting and it hasn't happened yet
