The cavs are bad, like really bad. Worst EC ever and you're in the pot for #1 overall draft pick? AGAIN?
last season they were a terrible mess.
Brown? Bynum? Bennett?

I think he'll probably get around 8 per. That's usually the starting NBA pg contract for boo boo teamsAnyone know how much money is Isaiah Thomas looking to get?
10 per? More? Less?
The Cavs roster is definitely not "hot garbage" ... They have a lot of talent but man this team was put so randomly together. Chris Grant really is an idiot and he may be unemployed for life .
IMO make your young core Irving and Wiggins. Give Bennett the benefit but everyone else should be made available.
The addition of Bynum sums up the cavs. And no, I don't think Irving is worth the max. The cavs should be the first team to have all their guys signed up and still be 30 mil under the caplast season they were a terrible mess.

Man ain't no way in HELL Parsons getting a $10million + per year contract what yall dudes smoking lol
No ****
You're silly to think agents aren't looking around the league to see what other players see getting. Young guys sell themselves on potential growth, older guys sell themselves on track record/proven commodity.
If Parsons and Hayward get around 12 million, believe ariza and deng are looking for not much less.
AT MAX Ariza is gettin 10 mil a year... i could see Deng pushing some bottom feeder team to 12, but he's far from worth it. Any team that signs him for that money (Probably the ATL Hawks) are asking for a future horrible contract.
There's a pattern at play here. As great as Ariza was last year, his role -- and even his 2013-14 production -- is replaceable. This is especially true on a team quarterbacked by a point guard that is the league's two-time corner three creating champion and has a knack for raising the three-point percentages of his wings beyond their career norms. Wall assisted on a whopping 68 percent of Ariza's corner threes last year; that's an amazing number that shows how Wall-dependent Ariza's offense proved to be.
The Wizards can find another wing to spot up in corners, take those pinpoint passes and knock shots down while approaching Ariza's defensive impact. They can do so while paying significantly less than the $7.7 million Ariza made this season. Tucker himself is available. So are Marvin Williams, Thabo Sefolosha, C.J. Miles, Brandon Rush, Jordan Hamilton, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Shawn Marion, Alan Anderson and even Nick Young. These are affordable free agent options with games Wall has proven he can amplify. More importantly, so are Webster and Porter, who are already under contract and on the roster.

If there is a silver-lining, it's that Gortat is a "young" 30. He doesn't have the normal wear and tear on his body like other guys in the league. He's one of the best conditioned guys as well, which helps with his recovery from the daily grind of the NBA. However...5 years, man. 5 years. I just can't get over it. Hopefully when the #'s come out it's not as bad as how it looks right now.
This was an article written a few days before the Webster injury happened:
Link
It mentions a few guys who would be servicable (and cheaper) replacements for Ariza. The Webster injury changed the entire landscape of the strategy for retaining Ariza. The second Martell went down, Ariza's value skyrocketed.
While it was a contract year, Ariza benefited from getting EASY looks due to playing with Wall. Wall is one of the best in the league at creating chances for other players behind the arc. I feel as though many of the guys mentioned in the article above COULD replicate Ariza's offensive production, but where they wouldn't is on the defensive end of the floor. I like Ariza...but not at 10 mil per year.
I wake up, and regular Cleveland Haters are still hating?
Man. Either ya'll living the life of an extravagent boss in your city; or yall literally hate your life and just come here to make yourself feel better.
*meanwhile, I'm cooking everyday of my life here in my city, kicks feet up*
hahaha. Irving might not be worth the max yet, but you can't blame the Cavs for doing it. They had to.

The pistons are offering 3/24 I think, which is a pretty good deal. Lots of teams interested so it could drive the price closer to 10
