The Cavs roster is definitely not "hot garbage" ... They have a lot of talent but man this team was put so randomly together. Chris Grant really is an idiot and he may be unemployed for life :lol.

IMO make your young core Irving and Wiggins. Give Bennett the benefit but everyone else should be made available.

I think they could get a really good return if they trade Thompson/Waiters... If i'm them i'm blowing up the wolves line trying to get Love. Those two along with a future pick should be able to get you an All-Star caliber player.

last season they were a terrible mess.

Brown? Bynum? Bennett? :rollin
The addition of Bynum sums up the cavs. And no, I don't think Irving is worth the max. The cavs should be the first team to have all their guys signed up and still be 30 mil under the cap :lol

Man ain't no way in HELL Parsons getting a $10million + per year contract what yall dudes smoking lol

Batum and Parsons are very similar by the numbers. Batum makes 11. It's not outlandish that Parsons gets 10.

No **** :lol

You're silly to think agents aren't looking around the league to see what other players see getting. Young guys sell themselves on potential growth, older guys sell themselves on track record/proven commodity.

If Parsons and Hayward get around 12 million, believe ariza and deng are looking for not much less.

AT MAX Ariza is gettin 10 mil a year... i could see Deng pushing some bottom feeder team to 12, but he's far from worth it. Any team that signs him for that money (Probably the ATL Hawks) are asking for a future horrible contract.

I don't think either of them are worth that money, I'm just speculating as to what they'll command on the open market. A lot of teams will reach when they strike out on bron/melo. Ariza disappeared after his last big deal, and deng has been run into the ground. Either guy on a 3 year deal isn't crippling, because they're both 28-29 or so

If there is a silver-lining, it's that Gortat is a "young" 30. He doesn't have the normal wear and tear on his body like other guys in the league. He's one of the best conditioned guys as well, which helps with his recovery from the daily grind of the NBA. However...5 years, man. 5 years. :lol I just can't get over it. Hopefully when the #'s come out it's not as bad as how it looks right now.

This was an article written a few days before the Webster injury happened:

There's a pattern at play here. As great as Ariza was last year, his role -- and even his 2013-14 production -- is replaceable. This is especially true on a team quarterbacked by a point guard that is the league's two-time corner three creating champion and has a knack for raising the three-point percentages of his wings beyond their career norms. Wall assisted on a whopping 68 percent of Ariza's corner threes last year; that's an amazing number that shows how Wall-dependent Ariza's offense proved to be.

The Wizards can find another wing to spot up in corners, take those pinpoint passes and knock shots down while approaching Ariza's defensive impact. They can do so while paying significantly less than the $7.7 million Ariza made this season. Tucker himself is available. So are Marvin Williams, Thabo Sefolosha, C.J. Miles, Brandon Rush, Jordan Hamilton, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Shawn Marion, Alan Anderson and even Nick Young. These are affordable free agent options with games Wall has proven he can amplify. More importantly, so are Webster and Porter, who are already under contract and on the roster.

It mentions a few guys who would be servicable (and cheaper) replacements for Ariza. The Webster injury changed the entire landscape of the strategy for retaining Ariza. The second Martell went down, Ariza's value skyrocketed.

While it was a contract year, Ariza benefited from getting EASY looks due to playing with Wall. Wall is one of the best in the league at creating chances for other players behind the arc. I feel as though many of the guys mentioned in the article above COULD replicate Ariza's offensive production, but where they wouldn't is on the defensive end of the floor. I like Ariza...but not at 10 mil per year.

Anyone know how much money is Isaiah Thomas looking to get?
10 per? More? Less?

The pistons are offering 3/24 I think, which is a pretty good deal. Lots of teams interested so it could drive the price closer to 10

hahaha. Irving might not be worth the max yet, but you can't blame the Cavs for doing it. They had to.

Out of that list i like Tucker or Hamilton the most. but i MUCH rather them try and get a third Big off the bench (Try & Steal Thompson from the Cavs for the low). Al & Gooden played surprisingly well down the stretch but IDK if you can continue to rely on them. Nene is Nene he will get hurt and his contract isn't being taken by any team that is gonna give us his kind of production so we are technically stuck in that aspect.

This teams future really depends all on whether Wall/Beal/ Porter are able to take the next step.

i hear Pistons want him pretty bad but i fail to see whats the point since we have 20 PG's

SVG better be getting rid of Bynum and Jennings and give Thomas an even bigger deal so land him. Id def take him over Jennings.

Keep it about sports, and leave the slick city talk out of it? It's that simple bruh.

Welp..

I'll say this though, you take the internet way to serious for it to bother you this much.

Make us feel bad about our lives? No one gives a damn enough about each others opinions that we're sulking about it in the real world. And on what basis are you gonna make us feel bad?
