No, LeBron has a cap hold of $20M.Couldn't they fill out the roster with other guys and go over the cap to sign LeBron last?
Would have to renounce him (thus losing his Bird Rights so that's a no go) or sign him.

Well you guys both get repsCouldn't they fill out the roster with other guys and go over the cap to sign LeBron last?
Nope... Cap Hold...
There's a cap hold of $20mil on LeBron, only allows them to spend $43mil otherwise... Either they pay him, and the cap hold gets lifted, or they have to renounce their rights to him, and can't go over the cap to sign him.
pmatic beat me to it... I just had to explain it
@HowardBeck Source: Kidd isn't pursuing Bucks coaching job. He wants to be president of basketball ops.

2 years.. Lowry would have to take a paycut to around $7mil. If LeBron wanted max.
Again if LeBron were to go to $17-18mil as people suggest, they (LA) could have Lowry too.. $4mil to add a bench player, and $5mil MLE.
It's really the same situation, with the exception that the Lakers would be able to completely transform the roster in 2 years, Heat couldn't for 5 if Bosh gets the 5 year deal he wants.
No I'm not saying he's going to LA. But there really isn't any difference in ability to contend LeBron max in Miami, LeBron max in LA. One would have much more flexibility in long term to contend for more than a couple years.
Didnt bucks already hire a HC? or no
now that bosh and wade opted out...riley should go in a different direction with them off the books. **** loyalty. it wasnt like you played for them out of the goodness of your heart, they paid you chumps. Wasn't like you were doing volunteer work. It's just business, never personal. Go grab lowery and melo, grab some of those vets, couple 3 pt shooters for bron to swing to and call it a day.
Kidd needs to get off his high horse

That's what I would do.
And this is always why a player should take the Max instead of a paycut, because you can be done like this once you've served your purpose. Get paid while you can, win later
