Advance upon me, brahs.

Ronnie Price, 2010:

I hate the Lakers and I wanted to...it was more about that. It had nothing to do with trying to prove a point to Coach or anything like that. I just like getting my name called and like being on the court and having a chance to compete, especially against a team I can't stand.

Ronnie Price, 2014:

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard Ronnie Price, it was announced today by General Manager Mitch Kupchak.

Oh and Ronnie Price, 2006:

Linsanity returns to start the season and gathers enough steam to start in the asg alongside kobe. Immediately following the conclusion of the game, lin is sent to boston in a 3 team deal with houston that nets the lakers Raj on rondo, Trevor ariza and a 2015 first rounder. Jordan hill is included in the deal freeing up space and court time to allow ed davis and r kelly to reach their highest flourishment. Lakers go on to win the championship after defeating the Charlotte Hornets in a grueling 6 game series. Kobe wins his 6th ring on the road as Micheal jordan looks on both in envy and admiration

Oh and randle takes home rookie of the year

Only prediction I wanna make is Clarkson will surprise a lot of people. Potentially make Lin expendable.

I seriously doubt Ronnie Price will make it on the regular season roster.

He's more than likely training camp invite fodder.

Lakers are stacked already at PG with: Nash, Lin, and Clarkson.

LA & Socal NT'ers

Lin will be doing a meet & greet event at Footlocker at the Westfield mall in Culver City.

Jeremy Lin ‏@JLin7 8m

LA! Tomorrow I'll be at Culver City @Footlocker from 430-6pm pst come by and say whats up!#purpleandgold #teamadidas

The Lakers could bring 2 of the players they just signed into the season (they have 13 guaranteed). Price might have a chance as insurance for Nash.

Lin was expendable from the moment they traded for him. He might be a decent trade chip at the deadline, so another PG could be insurance for that too.

I've always felt like this. I know he's doing all this Laker stuff, appearances at local malls and what not, but I'm not buying into him being a long term piece of the roster.

Honestly, long term (3, 4, 5 years from now), the only guy I think of is Randle.

I "hope" Clarkson and Henry can be a part of that as well, but clearly Randle is the safest choice of them all.

With my our luck it'll be Kobe. :lol

Yeah everyone knew the Lakers traded for him in the first place because he has an expiring contract worth at least $9 million and also at the time Houston was desperate to get rid of his contract because they thought they had a legit shot at getting Bosh this past off season. Houston is going to regret giving up that 1st round pick to us.

I mean, see, for the right price, I wouldn't mind Kobe at all 4 years from now. For real. MJ was effective on the Wizards, if Nash wasn't doing a mighty fine Mr. Glass impersonation, he'd be a nice contributor for his age, and there are dozens of other examples of guys well past their prime being nice contributors to squads.

But that's the thing: 'nice contributors', not 'focal points'.

And again: for the right price.

Kobe, on the Lakers 5 years from now, for guidance and to help get a few buckets off the bench, you know, I'd be cool w/ that.

But Kobe, 5 years from now, at $20 mil, w/ a starting spot because the team can't possibly have him coming off the bench, watching him fumble the ball and get stripped by ________ (whoever's hot 5 years from now)? Nah, screw that. I'd be EXTRA heated.

Like, some example running through my mind: Dominique Wilkins wasn't TERRIBLE on the Spurs. Joe Montana wasn't TERRIBLE on the Chiefs. Mark Grace helped the Diamondbacks to a championship, but he was not the focal point of the team by any stretch.

Kobe can be that 'old guy w/ tons of experience and fading athleticism', sure, and I'd welcome it. Magic never had a chance. Bird never had a chance. MJ, people dog his time w/ the Wizards, but he was still a problem for other teams; no, he wasn't 1988 MJ, but he wasn't Eddie House/JR Smith/Nick Young, either.

All I'm saying is that even I haven't written Kobe off and started nailing his basketball coffin yet; just, the role has to be right, and the price has to be right.

I would love for Clarkson to flourish.

Henry is too injury prone. If he ever figures that out he's a solid sixth man.
