To be honest with you guys, in this crazy *** market where Meeks got 19 mill...

Nick realistically took way less to stay with us rather than leave.

He could of gotten more than 5/per from someone else, a lot more.

That probably doesn't mean anything to most irrational fans, but to me it's pretty cool that he'd rather stay a Laker for a lot less money than want to leave for more.

He WANTS to be a Laker, when not a lot of players in the market currently do...

That should mean something to some of you guys.

21 million is him giving us a discount, whether you want to see it or not.

You can't get instant scorers off the bench in the nba these days for 21 mill.

Not gonna plug every hole in one summer. Best player available is lance. Front court help can come thru vastly better options in next year's free agency

its not even about signing the best player, its about filling out a roster with quality players...as the team stands, it is guard heavy. sacre and kelly gonna be the starting 4 and 5? whos backing them up...

I can't agree with this more. 

5 mill is kind of steep, I was hoping for 3 mill, but that's just unrealistic. 4 year is kind of long too, but I'm sure he took less for more years. 

I really do not understand the Nick Young hate. It's like the cool thing to do so everyone follows it. He has a reputation as a chucker and what not, which is true, but I watched him with my own two eyes last year and he was valuable for the team. He didn't chuck that much (it was needed at times) and he was actually efficient. He also played defense, which was a knock on him. What more do you want from the guy, I really don't get it. 

I laugh when people hate him for winning games single-handedly because it hurt our draft position (and quote me now we got a beast in Randle). I want a guy who is able to win games single handedly. Isn't that what we want from a bench scorer? 

Oh and this whole Kobe gonna kill him thing. Seemed like one of the few guys Kobe liked was Nick last year.

Wasn't even tracking Lin, but I was hearing he had a salary of $15M next season. I was hearing other things about a S&T of Pau to NY which would bring back Bargnani's $10M contract. At the hospital right now so can't do to much research. When I heard plan B, I thought LA was talking IT2, Monroe, Bledsoe, Stevenson....

This looks like a straight rebuild white flag. Fill up the cap and bank on Kobe putting butts in the seats at Staples.

Thinking short term. Look at the available bigs this year compared to next year. Would you rather skip lance to pursue okafor in favor of having a balanced roster

I'm starting to realize how over emotional and irrational we truly are.

I said we, so I'm including myself...

We need to take a step back and analyze what we truly have and need on this team.

We're trying to build a puzzle, we need pieces. We had 2, we need 15...

Just think about things.
You let Swaggy walk, we'll be scoring 63 a night this season.

If that's what you want, then I understand. But 63 points a night doesn't win games, and doesn't entertain fans.
