Wojnarowski: “Jeremy Lin is a one-year player with the Lakers.”
Yahoo Sports NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski joins The Home Team each week to give an update on the two L.A. franchises, and this week he had his sights set squarely on Jeremy Lin and the Los Angeles Lakers.
I think this Lin is a one-year player with the Lakers. He’s a backup point guard in the NBA. He’s obviously be thrust into a bigger role because of who they have [on the Lakers roster], with the injuries and with Steve Nash being out for the year. You can see that Lin’s confidence is not there. There’s not a great chemistry between Kobe and Lin, that’s obvious.

Lakers Have Never Seen Kobe So Patient With Teammates
The Los Angeles Lakers aren't playoff contenders and Kobe Bryant hates losing, but he doesn't hate this season or this team.
"The idea of me having no patience is misunderstood," Bryant told Yahoo Sports on Tuesday night. "I don't have patience when we're not putting the work in, if I see that we're not doing our job as professionals. If that's happening, I'll let my team know about it. But this is not that kind of group. We work. These guys want to get better every day. They're there early working, they're there late working.
"This organization put forth a lot of effort to try and land some of these top free agents. They went for it. I respect that. I appreciate that.
"Now it's time for me to go out there and do my job – not whine or complain about it."
The Lakers have never seen Bryant so patient with his teammates as he's been this season.
"A knee fracture, an Achilles' injury and old age – nobody expected me to be moving the way that I am right now," Bryant told Yahoo. "To an extent, I didn't either. But I've done a lot of work. It's a puzzle that there's no example for. We're trying to figure this thing out on the fly.
"It's a lifestyle, an absolute around-the-clock lifestyle. There's no getting away from it. I've always enjoyed that aspect of it, the process of it, the building of it. But there will come a point when I don't anymore, and then it will be over for me."

The question is what do you give up to get him? Picks, players, significant cap space?I don't think you acquire rondo with the intent of keeping the rest of the roster unchanged. Could be wrong tho.

Pass on a PG who cant shoot and is injury prone.
No ducking way bro... after I saw that post I was literally about to go look for a Jim Carey pic to post the quote with.
Scroll down a little and you beat me to it
Watching these highlights on Inside the NBA and it really makes me miss Steve Blake lol. Especially with how Lin has been playing lately. Dude was just constant every night and hit shots.Think of all the close games the team has lost this year or the games that Lin hasn't done anything at all. Team would prob be 3-4 games better.
I think it's ok to have Rondo if you have shooters and scoring wings like Ray Allen, pierce, Eddie house, etc like Boston had. RR on this team would be a disaster
That's too vague of a statement. Rondo is at his best improvising (similar to prime Nash), so how is that going to mesh with Kobe? Kobe is going to plant his *** in the mid-post and wait for the ball to be dumped into him. Where is Rondo going to be? Stationed at the three point line or far corner? Not to mention he's going on 29 and you would be paying for his declining years soon after. But beggars can't be choosers, I suppose.
Pretty much why I want Pat Beverely. He'll upgrade the pathetic perimeter defense tremendously, will stay out of the way on offense and knock down threes.
On everything, if they are gonna win tonight, just go out there and get the W, play well, control the game, get the win.
I don't mind getting a well deserved, hard fought W.
