CP is either trolling at this point, or the most stereotypical American I've ever encounter

I'm a 49ers fan too, but I don't care if they don't win the superbowl as long as they have a good season.
You're not. It's all good though. I ain't mad at cha.The SEC got sad that nobody cared about them and everyone cared about the Rose Bowl so they made the BCS national title game. Thats why every single game has had a SEC team
just kiddingor am i?
@Deadspin: Oklahoma wide receiver arrested on two felony charges of performing lewd acts in front of women: http://t.co/264mPpyaSV
Ummmm :x
Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Trey Metoyer is accused of allegedly exposing himself on two separate occasions, both in Norman, in August and September.
The sophomore was charged with two felony counts of indecent exposure today at the Cleveland County Courthouse. SoonerScoop acquired the probable cause affidavit for Metoyer, and if these accounts are true, Metoyer is awful at not performing lewd acts in front of women.
The first count took place on Aug. 29.
"The victim advised she was on a balcony smoking a cigarette when she observed the black male driving through the parking lot ? in a red Grand Am," states the affidavit of the Aug. 29 incident. "The black male backed up and pulled into a parking spot. The victim noticed a short time later that the black male had his (genitals) exposed while sitting in the car (performing a lewd act)."
The second count took place on Sept. 17 in Norman where Metoyer approached the victim inquiring about an ink pen.
"It was learned that the victim was walking her dog when she was approached by a black male who asked her if he could borrow a pen," states the affidavit of the Sept. 17 incident. "The victim went into her apartment to get an ink pen and when she came back outside, the black male was (performing a lewd act) in front of her apartment. The black male then asked the victim if she would want the pen back."
Precisely my point.
Next year you'll want to focus only on 2014
Then again the year after
Etc etc
Because that's all you'll ever have. Hopes and wishes.
Inside glass cases.
CP's opinions towards Oregon you have to take w/ a grain of salt. Living in Oregon has scarred him forever

CP, seriously, do you truly believe that RIGHT NOW Miami is a more relevant, meaningful, and elite program than Oregon? I'm not trying to troll, I'm just seeking understanding on the here and now and what you perceive.

You ain't just whistlin dixie. These people just do not get it.
They take calls from folks around here who do NOTHING but bag on the SEC. "But they've won 8 straight Titles" "Titles don't matter tho radio host" Quite comical around here.

So bitter. Feel free to live in 2001.
I know we haven't won any national championships, but it does me no good to dwell in the past. If people want to boast their past success then fine, more power to them. I just don't see the point in saying we won a championship (other than the year prior) because teams become so different, players move on, etc.
I'm a Denver Broncos fan. Am I glad they won back-to-back titles with Elway? Absolutely. Does it affect how I view the team now? Those titles don't do anything to help them win now. I don't know why it'd be any different in CFB.
I'm not saying that having titles means nothing, because it definitely does. But to say that a team is irrelevant (in the present day) because they haven't won a national championship is ridiculous in my opinion. That kind of conversation only works when you're looking back 20 years at a team that never won anything.

That's the problem. You're not ever going to understand.
Like Sapp said...
It's a Canes thing, you wouldn't understand.

I already told you, I do not believe in "relevant". Top 2, top 10, top 25, none of that is "relevant" to me. You're either in the mix to win it all, or you're not. Clearly, Miami has not been for a long long while. And we may not be for some time if the NCAA doesn't hurry the **** up already. We appear to be better today than we were 3-4 years ago, but that means nothing to me. Til we hoist another crystal ball, we are not "relevant:" Nor is anyone else outside of Bama.
I don't care if we finish in the top 5 for 50 years straight, if all 50 end with us lower than #1, not relevant. Period.
I don't know how I can be more clear than that.
You're either in the mix to win it all, or you're not.

You aren't stupid at all, and I'm not trying to say that my way is right or better than anyone else's, it's just the way I view/believe sports. Hell, all 4 of my teams are in different views of where they need to be right now, I can't change one way for one team, and another for the other. Lakers are used to winning, Cubs are not, so it's not like I can go changing how I view sports based on sport/season. Win it all, or it's a failed year. The only way it can be.
I do ask you to clarify tho, you say last year has no effect on the next year, you sure? So winning it all, doesn't help the following year in terms of pressure, the moment, all the stuff that does not show on a stat sheet? You don't find it odd or random that the same teams in each sport are always in the hunt, or near it? The Bama's, the Cardinals, the Yankees, the Spurs, Duke, etc? Having won it all, and knowing what it takes, doesn't then help them navigate the next season(s) again? The Heat failed horribly against the Mavs, Bron looked lost. The next year they came back, faced a team of kids, and they got it done. Came back the next year and faced a vet team, had them on the ropes, but Bron and the Heat overcame it and won again. Would they have pulled that off if it were their first trip to the Finals?
Not saying it's like that for EVERY team/season, but I don't think you can just dismiss it as a whole. Not that Bama is a lock to win this year, because they won last, but I do believe it will help them. And Saban, I mean, he's done it 4 times, he knows some things himself.
