Pretty sure adidas outfits the entire athletic departments of every program it sponsors, right? I know UCLA is all adidas, at least.

Does Nike not normally do that for it's schools?

baylor's football and lady's basketball is NIKE, the men's basketball team is still with adidas.

The forgotten game–Bristol Motor Speedway

It’s a game that is rarely talked about, but it did happen. The year was 1961 and the game was between the Washington ******** and the Philadelphia Eagles. It took place in the infield of Bristol Motor Speedway. The game celebrated its 5oth anniversary two years ago we were lucky enough to catch up and talk with the starting tailback for the Eagles, at the the time, Billy Ray Barnes. Barnes says he doesn’t remember much.

“That damn game was 52 years ago and I’m glad I don’t remember much. When we showed up at Bristol the field was the worst field I had ever seen. We played a game one time at the Fairgrounds in Ohio and it was just a tick better than the field at Bristol.”


“We just went and played where we were told. We were getting 50 bucks a game and thought we were rich. When they told us we were playing at Bristol Motor Speedway, well, we just went and played.” Even though the game was just an NFL exhibition it still drew plenty of fans. “The crowd was good, but it felt like a practice. The stands were so far away from the field it was hard to get into it. We couldn’t even hear the fans cheering until we were leaving the game.”

Pittalks: What were some of the funny things about playing there?
BRB: It’s probably no secret, but back when I played some of the players would have a cigarette during halftime. At Bristol there was only one bathroom at the north end of the field. Both teams were sharing the same bathroom. At halftime we all met up there and had a few cigarettes and then went on and finished the game.

TAMU Track & Field is still Nike, but I think that's part of Pat Henry's contract. Adidas does all of the other sports at TAMU.

That is correct. Henry has a person deal. 

The baseball team also has clothing from Easton.

Aside from the sheer spectacle of it all and historic aspect, I'd bet actually watching the game there will suck.

Holding a football game at a race track has poor view of the field written all over it.

No doubt, but like the NHL's Winter Classic, you just go for the experience.

Frank Iheanacho, WR, Houston (Texas) Westside- Iheancho did not play football last season as the 6-foot-7, 220-pound freak athlete was full-time basketball. There have been countless players to transition from the hardwood to the gridiron that end up elite in football eventually. What’s impressed us about Ihenacho on film is that he’s already a somewhat polished receiver. He times his jumps perfectly, has excellent hands and is a relatively advanced route runner for the high school level. Houston jumped in with the first offer, but this list will reach double-digits shortly. Texas A&M and Texas both are sniffing around. Ihenacho could realistically end up as a five-star prospect in our final 2014 rankings.

Unbelievable jump in the rankings for this kid.
