2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

Utah State might put it on Boise when they play em.

It turns out the manziels are a much more colorful and interesting bunch than any of the profiles thus far have indicated. their fortune was indeed made in oil—wildcatting, specifically—but there were also family sidelines in cockfighting, small-time grifting, match-fixing, and, if you believe the federal indictments, cocaine-trafficking and murder. In fact, the first great sporting success under the family name wasn't johnny football; it was the Manziel grey gamefowl, bred by johnny's great-grandfather. the manziels arrived in texas after cockfighting was outlawed, but they wound up with a breed named after them anyway.

that's the story of the manziels in america. It's the story of making money just this side (and occasionally that  side) of the rules"

For people asking about Johnny's family, long but good read.

Damn.

The author actually cited everything and had legitimate sources.

Which specific players are you guys tracking in the Bama/A&M game?

Outside of the obvious Manziel, Yeldon, etc.

A&M has crazy depth everywhere on offense. Defense, not so much lol

There are literally handfuls of offensive players who could be difference makers.

The RBs Malena, Trey Williams, Brandon Williams (OU transfer), and Carson (Oregon transfer) are all capable of beating you in their own way.

The WR coprs is crazy too, but there's one player I'm going to say will be a difference maker if he's healthy....

True freshman, Ricky Seals-Jones. This guy is a monster. He's bigger, stronger and faster than Mike Evans. People say he's a Calvin Johnson clone. He tweaked his knee on a long TD in week 1 against Rice, but I'm uncertain on just how healthy he is. If he's healthy, you'll remember the name Ricky Seals-Jones.

Calvin Johnson clone , eh? lol

Calvin Johnson 6'-5" 235

Ricky Seals-Jones 6'-5" 225 as a true freshman.

I'm not saying he's on CJ's level by any means, just stating that I have heard comparisons.

They both have unique athletism for their size as WRs.

CJ CLONE :lol

why not compare him to a big mike Williams? RSJ doesn't have any measurables close to CJ except height/weight

Good to see Fresh again :lol :Nthat

I think DGB has more of a chance of becoming a "CJ Clone" than RSJ. RSJ seems more like a Colston to me. It's still early..

Kentucky bout to piss me off, they should be working Louisville

worst hand/eye coordination I've ever seen on a team. The whole team.
