I hate the fact a lot of players are getting injured and will miss a chunk or the whole season. Noel being the latest victim.
Westbrook, J. Richardson, CJ Mccolum, Okafor, Otto Porter.

MCW didn't get crossed up, just hung up on a screen, he actually did a good job keeping him in front.

Sage Steele tabbed to host NBA Countdown this season.

Edit:

Sage Steele will be hosting on Fridays and Sundays. Doris Burke will be hosting on Wednesdays.

This may or may not have been brought up, but what has Derrick Favors done to deserve that 4 year/49million dollar deal?

Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter and Andre Drummond are Niketalk legends...you can't speak badly about them.

Really going out on a limb saying Miami and San Antonio will rematch in the Finals. :rolleyes

4. Washington Will Trade for a Big Man in the Next Month — If Emeka Okafor's Prognosis Is Bad

General manager Ernie Grunfeld is in the last year of his contract, and owner Ted Leonsis, not the shy sort, has made it clear he expects the Wiz to make the playoffs. Washington was over .500 last season when Bradley Beal and John Wall were both available, and lineups featuring combinations of its core six or seven guys generally did quite well. But Okafor was one of those core guys, and the gap between Okafor and his backups — Kevin Seraphin and Jan Vesely — is a freaking chasm. Al Harrington can soak up some minutes as a small-ball power forward, a role he played brilliantly for Denver two seasons ago, but he's aging and coming off major knee issues.

The Wiz need a big man, unless they get good news soon on Okafor. Alternatively, if Okafor is healthy, Washington could continue its history of flipping mega-expiring contracts (and the cap space they promise) into players on longer-term deals; that's how it got Okafor. Stay tuned either way on the Wiz. Speaking of which …

The screen made the cross look worse than it actually was, but with the caliber of 1s in the league, it will be a long season for him. Didn't like Philly throwing him into the fire the way they have.

I kind of felt Faried would find his way to the trade block with the way Shaw wants the Nuggets to play and the acquisition of Hickson over the summer.

Not to mention he's up for an extension after the season. It kind of makes sense to gauge his trade value now.

Kevin Love had the same vertical leap as Thomas Robinson, Al Hordford, Keneth Faried and Brandon Wright but he has limited natural ability huh? :lol

More like a limited amount of melanin in his skin.

I was thinking the same thing because I was trying to find a trade to get him in Memphis. :lol

yeah i dont think shaw likes ace hood jr's game as much as JJ's

Faried playing next to Big Spanish in Mem would be a dream come true, so many rebounds. Also Gasol would negate Faried's pretty terrible on ball defense, two man game between them would be a sight, somewhere Mike Conley calmly hopes.

What did Derozan do to deserve it? You're investing in these kids for small money at the start and hoping they build to that ~$12mm number. It's not that bad of a deal considering what he did in limited minutes last year + with Jeff and Millsap gone. I don't see what's so hard to understand about either of the 3 contracts. All 3 are gonna get the chance to prove they're worth it and he's the oldest at 22.

All these contracts being signed are going to lead to another lockout. I don't want to live in a world where you can get a max extension without even leading a team to the playoffs
