I dont see a huge gap between jimmer & jennings, lou will, mo will, nate robinson, lin, he could be just as good of a contributor as them
tbh jimmer can only shoot
can't do much at any other areas
I would give him an A for effort, but as an athlete, he is mediocre at best

What? He can't put it on the deck and create nearly as well as those guys.

Every single one of those guys are MUCH better athletes than Jimmer (Including Lin)

Those guys you mentioned are much better at getting their own (albeit a bit inefficient) and creating. They can beat their guys off the dribble and actually play semi effective pick and roll basketball. Jimmer can't beat anyone off the dribble and doesn't have nearly the creativity or handle to do so. And if you have those things as deficits in your game, being 6'1, 6'2ish doesn't help at all.

i agree with most of this, but someone with the ability to shoot like he can? you can't just pass that up. he can play off the ball

I think Jimmers problem is that he doesn't posses (or isn't perceived to possess) a well defined role. He needs do one specific thing extremely well so it's hard to piece him into a rotation. These are just completely random examples so bare with me here, but just off the top he doesn't provide double digit scoring off the bench like a Jamal Crawford or Manu. He doesn't excel in open court PG defense like Avery Bradley, he's not a game winning clutch shooter like Fisher, he's not an effective spot up jump shooting, or even a guy that gets to the line a lot.

My point is, 98% of the players in the league have well defined roles so that when a coach looks at his roster during the game he can say, "hmmmm we need this specific THING right now, put X player in because he excels in this area. or will be a matchup problem because of fill-in-the-blank." Jimmer don't have that. And for this reason I believe there is a huge gap between him and "jennings, lou will, mo will, nate robinson, lin"

Here's the issue with this. A 3 point Marksmen normally you would want to have size. That is something he does not have. He also can't play defense. So, although he's an exceptional shooter, where is he going to play at? You don't want him at the one, so I guess he's an undersized 2? He can't defend either position, which really hurts him.

That being said though, his reputation will keep him in the league for a few more years. I actually think he'll find his way on to a team and have a solid NBA career before it's all said and done. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up playing it out overseas either. He simply isn't good enough of a shot creator to be a spark plug off the bench, and he's also too small and unathletic to defend anyone.

Future Steve Kerr?

You've made random bets, but this is $1,000. You knew what the outcome was going to be.

Remember ol' boy we made that bet with on Spurs vs. Lakers series last year? It wasn't for a rack but still...same result as the Clifford dude. :lol :{

I believe that was MJGreatXii now known as Kal-El 8.

How sad does your life have to be to do that? Smh

Sources: Sam Mitchell emerges as Minnesota candidate with Kevin Love's future undecided

As the Minnesota Timberwolves consider the future of All-Star forward Kevin Love, Sam Mitchell has emerged as a serious candidate for the franchise's head coaching job, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Mitchell left a good impression with Wolves president Flip Saunders in a recent meeting and has moved himself into consideration for the job, league sources said.

Beyond the coaching search, the Wolves are under pressure to start considering trade scenarios for Love, who's anxious to exercise his Early Termination Option (ETO) in the summer of 2015 and leave as a free agent, league sources said.

"For the first time, [Saunders] sounds like looking at deals for [Love] is an option," one rival executive told Yahoo Sports.

The Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns are among many teams determined to make hard runs at trades for Love, league sources said. Boston and Los Angeles plan to make high-lottery picks in the 2014 NBA Draft available in offers for Love, sources said.

No team is likely to trade for Love without an assurance that he'll commit to a five-year, $100 million maximum contract extension. Despite a belief that Love prefers Los Angeles or New York as a potential destination, he's open to deals in other markets where he can be part of an immediate contender, sources said.

Nevertheless, Saunders has made finding a coach to help convince Love to reconsider free agency as a top priority, but the bigger issue for the All-Star forward comes with a roster that hasn't been talented enough to make the Western Conference playoffs.

Minnesota probed several top college coaches, including Florida's Billy Donovan, Michigan State's Tom Izzo and Iowa State's Fred Hoiberg, sources said, but those coaches weren't inclined to seriously consider the Wolves job. The broad belief that the Wolves will have to trade Love has made coaches leery of the franchise's future.

Mitchell has a strong history with Saunders and Minnesota, where he had two stops as a player -- 1989-1992 and 1995-2002. Mitchell played for Saunders in his second stint.

As the Toronto Raptors coach for parts of five seasons, Mitchell reached the playoffs twice and won the NBA coach of the year award in 2007. After his firing into Toronto in 2010, he spent a season with the Nets as an assistant coach. He's been a television analyst radio host since leaving the Nets in 2011.

If im the Pistons. I ship out Jennings and Smith for him.

Dwill,_____,_______, Monroe, and Drummond

salaries match up, dont see how Nets would say no. Id def take him in Detroit with Arnie Kander who can help his ankle and being coached by SVG. hes got 2 studs down low. Maybe we might get some shooters and someone in the draft. I like this team depending on who we get a whole lot better than the trash we had this past season

I don't know if I read somewhere Monroe won't be resigned this off season or SVG doesn't want him.

Hes meeting with him. He wants to keep him if they can find a way to make Smith, Monroe, and Drummond efficient together.

I read SVG wanted to sign and trade Monroe. I believe he will let Monroe go if he can find pieces to put around Drummond. Van Gundy was with Lebatard and he asked Gundy will he saddle up to Josh Smith and tell, "Hey Josh you know those 18 ft are always open because they want you to shoot them."

We see KCP get a lot of time next season due to Drummond and Van Gundy?

Report: Kevin Love will test free agency next season

The Bulls are sure to go hard after New York Knicks impending free agent Carmelo Anthony this summer, but if they strike out on the Knicks' sharpshooter there could be a Plan B to pursue in 2015.

According to Mitch Lawrence of the New York Daily News, Love, who will be a free agent after next season, has told the Timberwolves that if he is not traded this coming year he will leave Minnesota, effectively departing without the Timberwolves receiving anything in return.

"Kevin Love’s people reiterated to the Timberwolves this past week that they had better trade him or else he’ll leave via free agency when his contract is up after next season," Lawrence reports. "With Love looking to exit, there’s your No. 1 reason the T-wolves have not been able to find a head coach to take over for Rick Adelman. Love wants to play for the Lakers but he’s also open to coming to the Knicks."

The Lakers and Knicks both have been thought of as the main potential landing spots for Love, but if the Bulls use the Amnesty provision on Carlos Boozer this offseason and hold tight on signing a max player this summer, it could open up even more options in 2015. Along with Love, Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is set to become a free agent this summer.

Why don't teams approach Mike Fratello to fill their HC vacancies? He always seems very insightful and knows the X's and O's well. Does he not want to coach?

8o 8o. Not even mad at dude though, he should just start using his old name. It's not like I'm gonna harass him about it.

Joe Johnson was The problem not Paul.

Joe was on fire why try to post up Bron when its all on the line. He should kicked it out to pierce open for 3 for the win

for peirce age n miles he came through
I actually wanted to see him be more selfish

And Bron didn't even do nun
As usual ray Allen secures the win offensively and defensively
While lebron sits back and shines..

......Lebron didn't do anything? LMAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm no nets fan just think NBA does a great job of marketing LBJ as that guy when time after time you see the great team.. Allen Chalmers bosh coming through clutch defensively n offensively securing wins....
Then gotta watch this guy jumping on tables..
come on.
Peirce Is a proffesionala he competed

Peirce competed where?
After talking all that mess about guarding Lebron more, and got 49 points scored on him. Lol
The look on his face was priceless watching Lebron shoot free throws while icing game 4. View media item 977070

They're a great team he's top player but...

He should have wrecked peirce on both ends I didn't see it...

Missing free throws when it counts and Allen securesd that win again just like in finals....
No Allen.. No rings.. this is 1 the greatest all time shooters
James overshadows what he does when games on the line if Allen leaves there done
..

So yes to me Lebron ain't that guy
Space is open KD Wesbrook Melo Rose
I can see these 4 guys becoming that guy and surpassing James
