Don't speak in vague terms and say what you have to say with your chest.
Yea, too much credit. I can try and dumb it down a little bit. (That was a pretty obvious analogy though)
The only thing Pippen and Harden have in common is that they both played for the Rockets.

The end.

Just because they both need to be #2 doesn't make them comparable by analogy.

I've had knee surgery. Kobe has had knee surgery. That similarity doesn't make us comparable by analogy.

Talking about how Harden needs to be #2... like Pippen... was just terrible. Pippen was better at being a stat stuffer who was highly effective and comfortable playing without the limelight on him; Harden is just weak at too many things to be #1. He has to be #2, because he's terrible at too many things to be #1.

I would think that someone spouting off about dumbing things down would understand that not everything appearing to be similar means they can be compared, but we all overestimate folks from time to time.

Warned.

Bulls can't generate enough offense to compete and Thibs runs his players into the ground.

So simple.

How you have Butler play every minute of an overtime game after the minutes he played this year?

Westbrook knows this too. Yet he continues to take shots early in the shot clock.

He could make these small adjustments and change the game, but he doesn't because he's so proud.

Those stats are misleading. I guarantee Russ shoots less in the wins because he plays less minutes and other players are already clicking on offense. He shoots more in losses because when they are down he tries to play hero ball because that's basically Brooks offense.

Westbrook shot selection needs improvement yes, but if you were to actually give him a coach who could implement a better half court system it would change a lot.

Whenever it's a close game or the Thunder are down they run 3 plays.

It's crazy cause Brooks was a PG so you think he would be more creative ala Kidd.

Who was the reporter that Harden called weirdo?

See up there. Guys still arguing that I compared Harden to Pippen and missed the whole point and then go  On and on arguing the wrong point.

Point was this so you guys CAN ARGUE  something else and let this go okay...this simple

Jordan was the #1 option

 Pippen was the #2 option

Harden needs to be the #2 option

Harden cant be the       #1 option

This was no comparison to Pippen, but the role Pippen played. If you cant get it after that, Lord help ya
yeah but you cant mention a bum like harden in the same sentence as a HOF player like pip

thats just taboo

The problem w/ Thibs is that he can be "overly defensive"... if that makes sense.

I've had knee surgery.

Kobe Bryant has had knee surgery.

I'm like Kobe, in that I've had knee surgery.

Correct?

Not comparing me to Kobe; just saying, we've both had knee surgery, making our experiences similar. Not US; just our EXPERIENCES.

(no, our experiences are not similar. No, the roles Pippen and Harden played are not similar. That's just not correct. Straight up.)

Boozer is ******* hilarious. Stadium could be loud as ****, and you'd still hear AND 1!!!...arrrrggggghhhhhh....gimme that!!!...etc. thru the TV.

if thibs and dantoni could fuse together it would make a top 3 coach

ive been said a few days ago that they need to link up and be the first nba team with an offensive and defensive coordinator like the nfl....

pretty much, been saying in the lakers thread that thibs is the exact opposite of dantoni

would take dantoni over thibs any day though

Hell yeah.

In strong agreement with all of this

and the thing about people saying melo wont fit in chicago because he doesnt play defense

the difference between jimmy butler's offense and melo's offense is WAY greater than the difference in defense

its better to trade defense for a lot of offense, play melo 53 minutes and hes getting you at least 40

harden handled that situation in a very immature way. fran asked a legit question
