They for sure could've made the finals in either xonference , jus would've been a wayyy harder route there. This year they really on paper should demolish every team not named Indiana, will it happen? Who knows. Their fate lies in d wades knees
Agree, Wade is definitely the key to possible three-peat. Although we've had these same doubts before, this time James actually seems drained and the support players are a bit older.

Am I tripping or did Blake wrap his arm around ibakas arm while all ibaka did was box him out lol

Its become a legitimate play for the Clippers.

Even the announcers get fooled by it. It blows my mind. Talkin bout "Blake is always in these confrontations, Everyone is always picking on Griffin, i just don't get it!"

Well let's see, what's the common denominator in all of these confrontations? oh yea, it's Griffin, there is probably a reason so many of his opponents hate him

Thank you!

...I don't think these announcers are being "fooled" though.

Its a "narrative"now.

I think last year was the first cake walk, but the years prior Bulls had the best record in the league, Celtics were also a top team and they barely made it through. We know the East is weak but let's not act like the Heat ain't a top team on any conference. To say being 3rd in the West = screwed shows how much salt dude had in his comment.

They have gotten to what amounts to a bye in the 1st round and major injury breaks since they've come together.

Heat's 1st round opponents last 3 seasons: Philly (41-41) Knicks (36-30) Bucks (38-44)
Heat's 2nd round opponents last 3 seasons: Celtics (56-26) no Rondo after Game 1, Pacers (42-24), Bulls no Rose (45-37)

Just comparison to Thunder, Spurs and Mavs from those same time periods:

Dallas: 2011- Portland (48-34), LA Lakers (57-25)
OKC: 2012- Dallas (36-30), LA Lakers (41-25)
San Antonio: 2013- LA Lakers (45-37) no Kobe, GS (47-35)

So could they get to the Finals in the West, yes. But not having to exert any energy at all in the 1st round and playing mediocre to very bad squads helps a lot. Again this season they'll be playing the Bobcats/Wizards or Hawks/Knicks which will barely be .500 or well below in the 8th seed case. While out West there's going to be a 48+ win team that'll be the 8th seed or even 9th seed that may miss the playoffs. Thing is they wouldn't be able to take any nights off.
