Players are more valuable than coaches.
A lot of these coaches be going on power trips and rubbing the wrong player the wrong way.
These coaches be straight wildin. disrespectful and unprofessional.
I remember watching an espn interview with terry crews and he said one of his nfl coaches told him he was only going to call him tyrone and he didn't care that his name was terry
Horny absolutely deserves the award this year. NO ONE, saw this team coming. In a loaded West no less.

I had them pegged to come in second to last record wise in the league. He deserves this easily, and Gerald Green deserves MIP or 6th man.

how many gms has gerald started? i think he gets MIP and jamal crawford gets 6th man. not sure how many gms jamal has missed. taj is deserving as well. legoran has a case for MIP as well.

I hear you guys. Not saying he's a bad coach. IMO, I'm not sure how correct it is to treat this award like a mulligan on a team you were wrong about. I know you'd probably have the same usual suspects winning it every year but I see no problem with that. I'd give to Pop again this year. I can't respect the award 100% when he has two in eighteen seasons. Or when Phil has the same amount as Sam Mitchell.

they were picked by many to finish in the bottom 3 in the west, and fighting for an 8 seed on the backs of goran dragic, gerald green, the morris twins, pj tucker, and channing frye (didn't mention bledsoe because hes been hurt)
you could make an argument for pop every year. i think they just give it to who did a better job than was expected to do

QFT, it's always the award given to the coach where people were just wrong about the talent on the team. Not to say Hornacek hasn't done an excellent job, but people clearly underestimated Bledsoe and Dragic as players.
Just give it to the best coach, should at least be an actually great team. There's no rule it has to go to a fringe squad that is "overachieving" relative to sportswriters' expectations.

but im dead serious about the last 2 thats Taj's award & DJ would prbly be flipping burgers if he hadnt landed in chicago "damaged goods" "not good as everyone thought" was the general thoughts about DJ after he was cut by toronto & it was seen as a whatever ,bs,filling a spot,need another lightskin dude move by everyone until he started cooking

not that outlandish imo, he just won't win it though.
DJ went from averaging 5/2 last year to 15 and 5 this year. 35% shooting to 42%. he's greatly improved, just doesn't have the case or impact that gerald green, lance stephenson, goran dragic etc have had.
