To this day I've never seen the Shawn Livingston I injury but I've seen the Kevin Ware injury numerous times.

Harden is actually a really go post defender, go figure
 
I feel like he's john wall before john wall if that makes sense.

He's also a very big PG. His size helps him.
How so? Livingston has always been a very intelligent player who had legit skill. Wall has elite physical tools which he seemed to depend on up until this season.
 
I wonder if Shaun Livingston ever would have come close to the hype before his injury

Going to have to say no. There are very few 6'7 points that pan out in the NBA, let alone to the degree that they were saying Shaun was going to be at. It's weird because the NBA loves big point guards, but aside from Magic Johnson, there hasn't really been really "great" big point guards. Most have been 6'3 and below.
