1. Whole damn Cavs team look like they're having hella fun without Kyrie. Dion is everything you want from a 6th man. Dude is a Nick Young, JR, Crawford, etc. Would be better served on a better team.

2. I loved MKG. I'lll give him a couple more years. I'd take him on my team, but as as far getting drafted that high, no question he's heading towards that bust label.

underrated Pacers team, they would beat the hell out of the current Pacers.

Harrington was my favorite Pacer for the longest time

Is that the squad that washed the whole Detroit?
Nah, Harrington was with ATL already when the brawl went down

People forget how good Artest was at the beginning of that season. He was putting up MVP numbers in the first handful of games. That Pacers team was winning 60, and going to the ECF, at the very least. Crazy how that fight destroyed the Pacers. The Pistons kept going, made the Finals, made more ECFs, but the Pacers were decimated. Ruined careers, too.

I just had to come in here and say that I was COMPLETELY wrong about AD when he first came into the league. I didn't understand the hype on him at all, and thought he would be Tyson Chandler at best. 'Ol boy only two years older than me, and he's a top ten player already.

This time next year the top five players will be:

1a. KD

1b. LeBron (Disclaimer: you can rank these two however you want, I just happen to think KD is better and will only improve.)

3. Paul George - Getting catfished by a man and impregnating a stripper aside, there is no reason why he shouldn't be in the top three next year. He needs to stop taking so many jumpers and get the the rim constantly.

4. AD

5. CP3, although either Blake or Harden could take this spot.

He's not a premium defender though, I see him getting roasted often. He can be but he isn't right now.

Beal while he hasn't improved is still better than MKG right now and MKG has gotten worse.

MKG has a PER of 11 man, he just simply hasn't been good at all

they have the 6th ranked defense, they are two points better with MKG on the court per adjusted plus minus. He isn't being hidden by the scheem, he's a central part of it. Opposing SFs and PFs are running a 11.6 PER against him. He held opposing players to 0.67ppp last season in iso situations, good for a ranking of 42nd in the league, 45th in the league in defending pick and roll bal handlers as a rookie. perimeter plays almost always struggle on D as rookies.

he's a very very good defender, when healthy he's on the verge of excellent.

So what more likely?

You have seen him get "roasted" so that means he's a bad defender or all these different statistics are right and your eyes are wrong?

I think at worst MKG, is a 6'8 Tony Allen, given his age he could be even better.

People are going to remember Melo going off for 62, but forget defensive efforts like this.

Harrison Barnes has been trash this year..

He's taken a step back

Still > Dion
Honestly I wouldn't agree at this point. Waiters is quick, and he can score and dish. Guys with his skillset can help a lot of teams. Barnes can't really do anything consistently.. what is his skillset?

Waiters would be doing better on another team. And maybe Barnes would be doing better as a starter on some other team, who knows.

The Waiters draft pick wasn't a good fit for him or the Cavs, but I still think he's a talented young player who has shown some flashes. But I always thought Barnes was overrated, he has to improve a lot before I'd consider him a valuable player.

Davis is better than Paul George right now, the gap will probably widen more next year.

6'8 Tony Allen with the #2 pick in the draft though? A draft that featured multiple All-Star caliber talents?

The problem with MKG is that he may never become a valuable offensive player. Right now he kills his teams spacing to the point where they have to cut his minutes for McRoberts. What good is his defense if he can only play 25mpg?

He's gonna be a great defender but let's not act like that 'bust' label isn't floating above his head. If he doesn't improve offensively next year, I can guarantee you Charlotte will start shopping him (heck they already tried to earlier this year). When a top 5 pick is traded on his rookie contract, they're usually considered a you-know-what
