Are the Kings really the only pro sports team to partner with UNICEF??

Seems like every pro franchise should be involved with UNICEF

I can see the league steal KD MVP and give it to Lebron. Same with Kobe when they give to Nash in 06.

Only way KD loses the MVP is if he doesn't play the rest of the season...it's been over for a while. He's putting up better numbers across the board (32 ppg, 8 rpg, 6 apg on 51% shooting) this has to go down as a top 10 season in league history in terms of the sheer volume of shots he's put up and the incredible efficiency; has the better team in a much tougher conference and his top 10 teammate missed a good chunk of the season.

At "steal the MVP from Lebron" :lol the excuses. KD pretty much has it unless Lebron puts together 30+ point/10 rebounds/assists these last 13 or so games. Maybe. KD has been relatively effortless for a good part of this season.

so the stats in his next games will dictate the MVP? uhhh no

Lebron is lebron, thats all.

but KD has it on lock unless he loses every single game from here on out and plays very bad.

KD is MVP

KD is winning his first MVP this year.

Head to head with LeBron he has the better Win Shares, higher PER, higher scoring average, higher rebounding total, and his team has more wins. While his fellow top ten teammate has missed significant time this year.

The only relevant stats Bron Bron has over him is assists and TS%, and he doesn't have that big of a lead in either category.

LeBron has been great, but Iceberg Slim has been on one this year.

And I guess you can't really fault him, but I don't know why Amir Johnson was defending KD like he can't shoot. He kept backing up and putting his hands in his pockets

backpedalling b/c the Thunder were down 2, so KD was a threat off the dribble drive also. one of the toughest covers/situations you can probably mock up for a defender

These next few years will be interesting. Bron can't rely on the reb and ast argument anymore.

I doubt Bron is going to burn himself out like he did in Feb just trying to catch up to KD in the MVP race in the 1st place. If Russ is out for the remainder of OKC's games though, it won't matter what Bron does.

Bron's numbers are virtually identical to last year same ppg (26.8) and avg an assist and rebound less than last year. I think the Heat's 27 game win streak had a lot to do with him "running away" with the award last year. They haven't been nearly as dominant down the stretch.

KD's numbers compare very favorably to MJ in '91 (32 ppg, 6 rpg, 6 apg on 51% shooting)...the year he finally broke through and won the title. Russy's health unfortunately will be the determining factor why KD will or won't do it this year, I really hope the kid Russ is ok, he plays too damn hard and with so much passion to be robbed of this man.

Good point. I wonder where the Heat would be if they played in the West
1st round exit for Lebrick and DWade. No rings.

:lol

Heat are a top team no matter what conference they play in.

Obviously top to bottom the West is stronger than the East but it's not like they play the Washington Generals every night.

they would have a worse record than they do now if they played in the West
