KD doesn't constantly need the ball in his hands to be effective, he can work off pin downs and long spot ups. Honestly I've never seen Lebron be effective on those type of plays

because lebrons not a shooter like that.. they have two COMPLETELY different styles of play.

Yes I know but KD could be great facilitator like Lebron than Lebron could ever be a shooter like KD

LeBron always needs the ball is what you're getting at here? When We've seen him change moments in series around in recent years by being featured in the post, working off cross screens or being the screener in ball screens. But continue..

kd facilitates because everyone on D pays all their attention to him when russ isnt playing because no one else on that team can create. lebron plays like a PG regardless. theres a big difference.

I don't see Lebron work off cross screens. Lebron having the ball in the post the way he has it, is basically a form of isolation, if you don't think so I guess Melo doesn't need the constantly need the ball in his hands to be effective either

I get what you are saying but I really don't

They both can be great facilitators?

We need someone to distinguish the difference facilitating and getting assists without facilitating. Bonafidehustla , where are thou? :lol

nah man... lebron makes that entire offense go.. sure KD scores more and its more effortless for him to score... but lebron is magic 2.0. once his athleticisms gone if he works on his post game enough he could last another 3-4 years IMO.
KD has proven that with Westbrook out of the picture, he can orchestrate a championship-caliber offense with even less support. I think as far as leading the offense goes they are at the same level.

umm... you kind of have to at least make the finals (with westbrook out of the picture) to be called a "championship-caliber offence"

right now we have only seen KD orchestrate a good regular season offense and a first round offense without westbrook

KD has more double digit assist games than Lebron this season while averaging 31 PPG compared to 25 PPG in those games :smokin

Well you don't need to make the finals to exhibit a championship-caliber offense. There's plenty of teams that make the finals who have an average offense, to say a team has a championship-caliber offense is not something that needs to be proven by accolades. It takes much more than offense to make the finals. Unless you mean to tell me that the '04 Pistons had the top 5 offense in the league and that's why they made it that far?

if you put it that way then this years suns also have a championship caliber offense, seeing that their offensive rating is about the same as OKC

To counter that, in KD's excellent month of January, his OKC Thunder was about two thirds higher than the Suns in offensive rating. It was only topped by the Trail Blazers who were still in the middle of their rampage. When firing on all cylinders KD lead his offense alone to the 2nd best offense in the league with his second best perimeter player being Reggie Jackson.

That is impressive, you must admit.

Back in 2009 when Bill Simmons said KD will be better than Lebron I thought he was crazy but it turns out he was right

No he wasn't. Part of that was Simmons being continually disappointed in LeBron's growth as a player. Everything has changed since then.
