Chad Ford has McDermott going 13 in the draft? Scouts comparing him to Hayward and Korver? I can't stand how white players are compared based off skin and not game. His game isn't like theirs at all. Another funny thing is how everyone wishes players stayed longer to better their game for the pros. Yet he's projected 13th behind players who still need work. Wiggins upside is extremely high and Parker is a beast after that though I don't see a better player in the NCAA. NNL hit it on the head if he wasnt white and put up these numbers it wouldn't be a question he's a top 5 pick. He's paying for Jimmer and Morrison being bust.
Well he's somewhat of a liability on defense and is a average playmaker, so I can see why he was ranked 13th according to Chad Ford. I see Top 10 draft pick in McDermott though. Dude can score from almost anywhere.

Once upon a time I shared this belief. I said to myself, why is Kemba Walker projected that low? He's a great college player. It's crazy that Kyrie Irving is projected higher.

Do you see why I no longer share your belief?

I couldn't be the only one that hated his comments after losing to Providence. "I need to learn to play better against physical teams." Providence is the furthest thing from a physical team in this day's Big East. If he think that's a physical game that makes him struggle, he'll need a few years of adjustments at this stage.

But I think he'll be okay. I've always like the Ryan Anderson comparison. He just needs the big 5 to work.

So Wade's recent improved play, playing consistently and having the ball more is the excuse for Bron struggling? Interesting...I mean it's not like LBJ can't get the ball whenever he wants to or anything.

LBJ is just having a bad stretch and playing poor in the 4th quarter. That's all it is IMO. He's the best player in the world today but not perfect. He'll be fine.

Funny part is MJ is 10x more cocky than LeBron has or will ever be. That had to be created by a teenager.

i want to believe the rockets can win the west, but they commit so many dumb turnovers every game. then plays like allens wide open three out of a timeout. motijuenas is the worst player ive ever seen in the paint.

i need the playoffs to start.

Honestly I only see 5 teams with a legit chance to win this year. MIA, IND in the East SA, OKC, LAC in the West.

ONLY 5 teams?

I'm sure Bron will snap out of it, but every game it's something different. Mask too tight, sleeves, headband too small, too hot in the arena. Just shut up and play through it like the best player you are, the best of the bests all struggled at points during seasons.

I'm wondering if the grind is starting to get to him in particular after 3 straight Finals runs, ala Kobe and the Lakers in 2011. There is a reason why no team since the Celtics in 86 have done it. Heat have a much easier path in the East, but it's something to watch as the playoffs near.

When he's not scoring there's not much else he can do to contribute, knowing he'll never be the #1 or #2 option on a team in the NBA he'll never be more than an effective stretch 4...

Nobody wants to invest a top 8 pick in somebody with that ceiling, white or black.

I wish twitter existed during the MJ era.
Would be interesting to see how many people would of idolized MJ knowing all of the horrible things he had done.

word. MJ was playing golf with bird and mchale DURING their playoff series against each other.

imagine the backlash if lebron and paul george went out for some golf with the ECF tied at 2-2 or some **** :rollin :rollin

I know Houston and Golden State are good but please, there a year or 2 away. Chicago can't score and Toronto an Washington aren't legit yet. I'm a Wizards fan an would love to see us win it all but my brain out weighs my heart. Lol

miami will win it all, you know lebron will be great. any given game bosh, wade, ray allen, heck even beasly or battier can go off and swing a series.

lebrons never leaving the Eastern Conference.

So he's Melo? Their are plenty of players who can only do 1 thing in the league but when you can do 1 thing at the level he does or could potentially do (scoring) you can be a star.

@nbastats: Last night, @AntDavis23 was within 3.5 feet of a rebound 22 times. He got the board 21 times.
95.4%.

Context: His season rate of that (percentage of rebounds per chance) is 63.8.

Jordan: 71.4
Drummond: 69.0
Howard: 68.4
Love: 66.4
Noah: 62.6
Etc.

He's not rebounding, defending, passing, or creating his own shot like Melo so no. Such a strawman argument. All Jimmer can do at an NBA level is shoot, is he also comparable to Melo?

Drummond :hat

DJ really stepped it up playing better defense and grabbing damn near double the amount of boards he did last year playing 10 more minutes a game

If he can continue to develop his defensive IQ/rim protection he and Blake will be a great duo for the next 8 years
