Man, this whole Lakers team needs to get max extensions. Once a healthy Kobe comes back, Pau gets re-motivated and Nick Young re-ups, this team is destined for great things. This supporting cast is phenomenal. Wes, Kelly, Sacre, Bazemore, and Meeks are true gems of this league.

I couldn't agree more. Add to that veteran leadership of Steve Nash. And you have a great rim protector in Chris Kaman

So I only listed one instance where the one seed didn't matter in terms of who won the title. I'm sure I may have missed a few along the way.

In a weird way, the one seed not being a sure fire indicator of who wins the NBA title is sort of similar to how having the worst record in the NBA doesn't guarantee you a #1 pick in the NBA lottery.
