Have no idea why he waited so late to put GP on Jordan that series. I honestly think they would have had a shot at winning that series had he started the series out with GP on Jordan. I understand he had the calf injury, but that wasn't hindering him to the point of not being able to guard Jordan during that series.

Not having McMillan for the first three games didn't help. He was a big guard, and one of the best defensive guards of the '90s. Without him, their two other guards were Hersey Hawkins and Vincent Askew. McMillan was never at full health even when he came back, but a healthy McMillan and Payton from the get-go makes it at least a more competitive series.

Mo was a terrible coach.  Dumars does deserve to be fired, obviously.  One horrible waste of cap space (Ben Gordon and Charlie V.) should have been enough.

Apparently they are reaching out to Lionel Hollins though.  If anyone can make that team work, he'd be an excellent fit.

he should have been hired in the first place :{

So :lol point? An inefficient 22 is not beating you

you can be sure Kobe had more 5/22 nights over his career than Mike... If Mike wasnt shootin well he took the ball to the hole and went to the lline for buckets.... didnt Mikes inefficient 22 win the game/series/NBA finals in 96?

steve javie thinks joey crawford is the best official of all time

this is a pr stunt, right?

he's shot 37% this season

decent defender but his offense offsets what he brings defensively

He was shooting much better before the turf toe. Also, with Rose out and Deng gone, the Bulls offense has gone completely in the crapper. He's carrying more of an offensive load than he was ever intended to do (at least this early). Give the guy a break.

Nash :{

Sad to see one of the best PG's of the past 20 years go out like this. In a laker jersey too. Double ouch

nash needs to retire

we can just give him an assistant coaching job or something if he wants to stick around

Man what are you even trying to say :lol

1) I didn't even bring Kobe up. What the hell does Kobe have to do with GP, and the 96 finals :lol ?

2) My point was that Gary Payton and sonics held Jordan to his worst finals performance for a series by far. They pushed the Bulls to six games. Had GP been covering Jordan the entire time, the chances of the sonics winning that series goes up ten fold to me due to what he did covering Jordan in games four through six.

I don't know if the Sonics would have won, but they definitely would have increased their chances. GP was a hell of a defensive guard.

But why were you pointing the Kobe reference to me though? I'm confused, I didn't mention Kobe one time :lol whatever, it's all good.
