fwiw, in his 13 games against memphis he averages 17 and 9. not bad imo, but could be better.

tbh, its not really about the averages. Its more about being tough, nd not being shown up and out playing him. He has all the tools to straight up dominate the matchup.

imo thats a cheepshot/dirty play not flopping. hes taking a shot at the guy who blocked his shot in a way of saying "dont block me or you will get hit in the face", not trying to get a foul call

either way its not a basketball play though
Nah the way I see it is he flailed his arms after the block in hopes of getting a call because he felt himself getting block and wanted to save the possession.

Don't think he did that to intentionally hurt him.
well at least in my perspective, when i play and get the ball stolen or blocked sometimes i might throw an elbow or arm in frustration. its not to seriously hurt the guy or anything, but thats just me playing pickup ball with no refs

but yeah, i dont really have a problem with the concept of flopping like when divac or scola or fish does it it looks more realistic than when these new gen guys do it. i only find it annoying when players look overly foolish trying to sell a call and even then i understand why they do it and they are supposed to do all they can to win

You're a Kobe fan, but don't like Westbrook because he has "too much ego"? OK.

Plus, Westbrook is skilled and wouldn't need much "range" to win a 1-on-1

Please quote me on the part where i wrote Im a kobe fan ... So anyone that supports kobe on a matchup instantly becomes a KOBE FAN . Please tell me you are 15.

I just assumed you were that when you wrote "

" to the Kobe v. Westbrook today matchup, because you'd have to be a certain type of fan to think that's laughable.

Sorry, buddy. But most guys on here that act like its a ridiculous notion that someone could beat Kobe 1 on 1 - particularly a young NBA superstar in his prime - are Kobe fans. But if you're not, you're not. My bad on that.

You're analysis of Westbrook's game is still off though.

Im sorry , but it still remains my opinion.

Russell skill set is still very low.

Mediocre dribbling , many turnovers , not so good at passing.More of a 2 trapped in the 1 position for me.Come on I mean if this is his prime please compare stats of both players.

Once again.

prime vs prime : not even close

now : I still got kobe , not so easy though

MY .02.

Westbrook's skill and range doesn't even matter. Kobe doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell at stopping him from getting to the rim with no help.

Apprently his agent informed Gilbert he won't sign extention.

Gilbert went irate

he's gonna be traded by the deadline.
GM: I'd Take Tyler Ennis Over Kyrie Irving Right Now
Tyler Ennis has had an excellent freshman season for undefeated Syracuse, showing great instincts as a scorer and point guard.

"If you were to ask me right now whether I'd take Ennis over Kyrie Irving, I think it's Ennis," one GM said. "He does all the things that help a basketball team win basketball games. You can pick him apart on individual flaws, but I would take this kid right now and trust him to run my team. I think there's very few freshmen you could ever say that about."

Ennis is averaging 12.1 points, 5.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.

this is really irrelevant for 1v1 though.

I disagree with you about Westbrook's skill set and talent, though you're not wrong about him being more of a 2.

Obviously no one is comparing prime Kobe and prime Westbrook as NBA players.  Come on now.

this..

I mean in their prime, its not close.. but now? cmon'

Well it seems the general consensus is against me lol , so I ll just stop arguing here before I become a KOBE LOVER-RIDER-fan and all that.

Still majority won't change my mind though.

Man, it's just whoever has the ball first and whoever is having a good day. That's honestly my answer for most 1 on1 arguments between top players in the nba. These guys are so good and can score so quickly and effortlessly, if it's something like a first to 10 anyone can win a game before someone starts breathing hard.

this is sad (Anthony Bennet)
I feel real bad for the guy.  Hope he does get a chance to succeed somewhere.  I still blame Mike Brown and that horrible, horrible situation.

Them small hands though...

Ennis will probably be very underrated in the NBA if he pans out. If he's not scoring at a high rate and crossing people over, Kyrie will always be considered better :lol

Wow! I didn't know lawdog was up there like that :lol Happy birthday man!
