bron = exiting prime

durant = not even yet entering prime

not saying lebron is exiting his prime, but his sidekick wade is definitely on the decline. more pressure on lebron to carry the team if wade is really damaged

just completely ignore game 7 then :lol

there are stats that show his % from the perimeter is among the best in the league I just don't feel like digging them up. I'm a fan of both players but to be the man you gotta beat the man convincingly in all facets

i dont give two ***** about a percentage when i watch him struggle shooting for an entire playoffs with my own eyes. he's not "shooting" the ball fam. He's driving the ball and taking wide open shots he feels comfortable with. its cool, until you're dared to shoot shots you arent comfortable with like the spurs.

and yes he did do a bit better shooting in game 7, but not enough to where his shooting was some type of critical factor. he was a few free throws away from being sent home fishing. terrrrrrrible angle to come from.

im not seeing the same explosiveness and ability to take over a game at will ala pistons series 3 years ago
That is a product of the roster though. I think he can still go Boston Game 6 on teams.
true but w broke down wade and invisible chris? its been years since he had to go that hard, and on top of carrying wade this season u think come playoff time he can just turn it on?
This was brought up in here yesterday and I dont think he can. Once he plays Indy and they throw the farm at him, if Wade isnt playing up to par then he wont be able to handle it all alone. The Pacers are too good.

Better shooter: KD
Better passer: Bron
Better rebounder: Bron
Better athleticism: Bron
Better court awareness: Bron

what else?

I did not just do that....
Better defender: Bron

Better post game: Bron

Dude said Lebron is a marginally better passer.

I'm done. So ******g stupid. :lol

interesting, considering Wade was a super X factor scoring and defensively in teh playoffs....

and has been scoring good/efficient this season. (he's just been resting)

but even bringing down wade/bosh a notch, they're better 2nd/3rd options than basically most/all of the league. this year/next year we probably are seeing end of that tho. hence the fall off:lol

and im trying to tell yall you just havent seen what KD is capable of as a facilitator. he's an extreme gym rat and student of the game. his awareness is 100, he just hasn't settle into a facilitator role yet. westbrook is super ball dominant and Scott Brooks is an idiot.
I don't think anyone is doubting KD can facilitate the team during plays, but its obvious that LBJ has a better ability of doing so since his court vision is more superior than KDs. Different skill sets for both players anyway.

but this is exactly why i was saying that KD needed to put his head down and score as much as possible with westbrook out

a few 40 point games and people are ready to say hes better than lebron will ever be

when the best scorer in the world puts up big numbers everyone wins

its funny i just read something about lebron being a better shooter. Lebron's jumper is still as suspect as it was when he came into the league.

Only in the NBA Thread are there comments like these when the guy he's referring to has improved his FG% each year for an entire decade.

His jumper is still as suspect from when he came into the league?

His rookie year his FG% was 41%

Right now he is shooting 58%

41% .......... 58%

41% .......... 58%

41% .......... 58%

Only until the playoffs? Where you been the past 2 Finals. The stupidity infuriates me. I knew that with the way Durant has been playing people were gonna try to knock LeBron off his pedestal with the quickness as if we didnt already know Durant has been on his heels. One month doesnt mean Durant is better. And for the record, Durant has been winning the scoring title. This is nothing new. LeBron is still better.

its not even about his scoring. its the added facilitating while adding to scoring. im convinced most of yall are actual boxscore ****** and aren't watching games.

Of those surface stats that can be quantified, KD is pulling an entire 1 more rebound per game, LeBron is giving out 1 more assist. And KD outscored LeBron per possession on post ups last season as well, let me find this years.

If you care about PER which is one of the simpler advanced stats, KD is 30.8 right now, LeBron is 2nd at 28.95, CP3 at 27.4 is 3rd.

could he beat the bulls singlehanded? just asking out of curiousity

**** all of those percentages fam. I focused on finals because that was the most obvious display. he's NEVER been a fluid shooter. he's been streaky at best. Over the years, he has just made his shot selection more catered to what he's comfortable with....

and he is not comfortable with many shots from various positions. there isnt a shot KD can't take.

biggest kicker for Bron is most of his shooting is unguarded. opposite for KD, but since he's added the passing ability you have to play him honest and he's getting an extra step or two from defenders to get off his shots

Better defender: Bron

Better post game: Bron

Bron doesnt even get in the post, what are you talking about

and his defense is overrated. he's marginally better at this point.

He does though. A lot of left block post up on this shooting chart. Unless you would really say that hes somehow getting 4-7 feet pull ups for all those shots.

Thats as recent as January 9th

This current Bulls no Loul Deng Roster? Yeah. Same goes for last years Bulls but it would have been close.

Right, and I'm not saying that Bron is light years ahead of KD, but he is still an overall better player.

Hopefully they meet again in the Finals :hat

that's the thing though, I see what the percentages say...but man, if you watch these game...brons jumper is hella suspect loll. it seems like they only keep stats for when he's in video game james mode and in perfect rhythm. lots of times dude can buy a bucket 10 feet out. Again, I know what the stats say, I'm not disregarding them, but I watch the games too.

its not glaring if you watch recent KD. He's making crazy passes all over the court. and putting guys into spots where they actual like to shoot.

got that pocket pass to serge down off the PnR. corner 3 down to srge. corner pass to fisher down. the pass right at the rim for perk. the corner 3 for lamb.

yall go get in the film room

to whoever posted that shot chart (dont wanna quote all that plus pictures), taht's laughable as a post argument. those are layups. he passes out of the post when he actually does go into the post.

:rollin :rollin :rollin

The percentages are how we gauge exaclty how well someone shoots the ball. It literally tells you how many times the ball goes in the hoop compared to how many times you shoot. No one shoots friggin 58% while being a streaky shooter. :rollin

Also, no one has ever said LeBron was a better shooter than Durant. No one.

I'm not even gonna take part in this argument but some of you guys were saying Paul George was better than KD as recently as a month ago. We're going from PG24 > Durant to Durant > LeBron in the span of about a month.
