Brooklyn is going to score A LOT of points but I don't think they can defend any elite team. They have no athletes at all in that starting lineup and the only good on ball defender is KG. They're going to get killed in transition against every west coast team, The Heat, The Bulls and Indy who all have way more athletes and better defense.

an extremly valid & solid point that, that only brooklyn fan is overlooking while saying they will take #1 in the east

Who said that? On NT they said that? I haven't seen anyone BK fan or not say that.

Yeah, they're not athletic but so what. I'm a BK fan, but I think they're gonna top 4 again. Who cares about a #1 seed? This aint football.

My player to watch for 2013-2014 is Contract Year Melo. Its not even just Melo anymore, this year is gonna be something else. Contract Year Melo is gonna do it all, rebound, defend, pass. Its gonna be like this past April times two. Then after the year is over hes going to un-digivolve back to regular Melo.

Melo can play the exact same way he's always played and get paid regardless. He's getting the max

Here, though, is a look at how Garnett’s Celtics teams fared defensively after he arrived in the summer of 2007:
2007-08: 66-16 record, ranked 1st with 96.2 points allowed per 100 possessions
2008-09: 62-20 record, ranked 2nd with 99.4 points allowed per 100 possessions
2009-10: 50-32 record, ranked 5th (tie) with 101.1 points allowed per 100 possessions
2010-11: 56-26 record, ranked 2nd with 97.8 points allowed per 100 possessions
2011-12: 39-27 record, ranked 2nd with 95.5 points allowed per 100 possessions
2012-13: 41-40 record, ranked 6th with 100.4 points allowed per 100 possessions

classic inside stuff on nba tv lol

just reminds me how much closer we all are to death

Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger will miss the first three weeks of the season as he rehabs his strained left calf, the team said Monday.

Read Insider's 2013-14 forecasts on all 30 NBA teams. Team Forecasts Insider

The Pacers said the rest is mainly precautionary. The hope is that Granger, who played in only five games last season because of a tendon injury in his left knee and had surgery, can return to full health and that the calf injury does not linger during the season.

The 30-year-old Granger, scheduled to make just more than $14 million this season, has averaged 18.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game over his eight-year NBA career

No Dwight, no Kobe. Lakers should force Kobe to pull a Rose and sit out this whole yr, and aim to draft Wiggins like every other non playoff team.
