I can't wait for mid March when all the kids being talked down on in here are either being praised by the same people or those people count on the fact no one is going to dig in a massive thread for their stupidity :lol

Only on NT, a couple months = a bust or = a completely changed player forever :lol

Obama to Heat: "We should take a picture but make it quick before one of these guys starts yelling at Mario."

I believe in Anthony Bennett, y'all can give up if you want.

1. He went to literally the worst possible team, full of non distributing guards.

2. Was injured preseason, hampering his preparation.

3. The Cavs ridiculous mike brown offense literally incorages every one of his bad habits.

I've followed him since he was 15, He went from being an unknown prospect, remaking his body, to being a top 10 recruit and dominating at UNLV, as long as he has the right support, and he stays focused on being an INSIDE player, he can be a player in this league.

he's a hard worker, got a ton of heart.

sorry, I still believe in AB.

I would love to agree, but I haven't seen 1 quality piece of skill that would allow me to believe his potential is unlimited. You can blame the team, coach, players...but if YOU don't have it, than fam you don't have it. This guy doesn't.

The draft was weak anyway so it isn't much like any team missed out except for MCW, but Anthony Bennett definitely wasn't worthy of the 1st pick.

He'll be lucky to be a 8 and 8 guy his whole career.

I liked watching Bennett at UNLV but OKB definitely on some Captain Canada **** right now :lol

Damn

Man I guess we finally call Bennett a bust. You could tell from the jump he wasn't ready for the nba. If you're 19 years old and out of shape as the #1 pick...doesn't seem likely to get much better

i wouldnt call him a bust the cavs were just dumb enough to draft him 1st overall similar to the wizards drafting kwame brown 1st

to be fair, the Kings aren't playing eastern conference teams every night like Toronto is, so its not really fair to just compare record to record.

also, they have won 5 of their last 8 games, 3 of those wins against Miami, Houston, and Portland
Since the trade...

Raptors:

13-5 (.722)
10-3 against Eastern Conference opponents
3-2 against Western Conference opponents
Three quality wins (at Thunder, Pacers and at Mavs)
One poor loss (Bobcats)

Other four losses: Heat, Spurs (twice) and Pacers

Kings:

7-8 (.466)
4-5 against Eastern Conference opponents
3-3 against Western Conference opponents
Four quality wins (Heat, Rockets (two - home and away) and Blazers)
Four poor losses (Pelicans, Bobcats (two) and Sixers)

Other four losses: Heat, Spurs, Hawks and Suns

You can adjust for conference differential all you want. The team that lost Rudy Gay is playing much better than the team that gained him so far.

Of course, we're only talking a fifth of a season, but if you guys can champion him for being a changed player over that amount of time, we can use it as a team barometer, too.

There's a slim chance Bennett ever lives up to being a #1 pick...even in that weak of a draft.

I say he figures out to sustain a 10+ year career and even be a starter...but never a star.

I never said he couldn't.

but its not reasonable to have the expectation that he has changed based on 15 games, versus 4 years of dog ****, but its certainly understand why you want to believe.

I believe also believe that 30 games just isn't going to undo what I watched of AB international, aau, highchool and college career.

I just hope he doesn't loose all confidence.

And I'm not taking up for Bennett (said before the draft he was outside of the top 10 for me), but this arbitrary 8 and 8 for a career (assumingly like an ~8+-year one) is pretty respectable.

Maybe not for a first overall pick, but who else besides the team that drafted him and possibly his mother thought he should have been?

It's not his fault that the expectations were raised. He could do way worse than 8 and 8 (and he very well could).
