Albert has the longest distance per average and he also leads the majors in ball speed of bat, the smart money is on either Albert or Howard also Carlos Penaand Mauer lead the league in homers tht barely made it over the fence.

Tell that to Bobby Abreu and David Wright.
How is that even believed by some people!? Sure, it can affect the player for a couple games MAYBE....but for people to believe it will affect aplayer's swing the rest of the season is absolutely ludicrous. That's such a huge cop-out and it's just looking for an absurd explanation to aplayer's slump.

But come on....really?....a player's going to be slumping in September because he had a round of balls thrown to him in freaking July that he tried toknock out? Please.

How is any of the even relevant when you're getting a ball tossed to you in a derby with no pressure?

It doesn't matter who hit how many or who can hit them out the furthest.

These derby's are a toss up.

X2

All its just a hyped batting practice

these derbys really are just so random, basically any given player of the 8 can win it or not make it out of the first round it seems...im really not too surewho to pick im leaning towards nelson cruz or adrian gonzalez though, possibly howard

P.S. - Ichiro made a bet with Griffey that if Griffery were an All-Star, Ichiro would've joined the HR Derby....Bummer.

Dont know if im gonna watch or not. This Albert Pujols slurpfest is going to be worst than Jerome Bettis being from Detroit

I got Inge vs Pujols in the Finals with Albert taking it in front of the home crowd
