This picture alone has 3 MVP awards, 7 championships,  and 10 finals appearances.

That's funny because just between Jordan and Dream you have 6 MVP awards and 8 NBA Championships and 8 Finals appearances. Throw in Barkley, Stock and Perkins you have 7 MVP awards 8 NBA Championships and 12 Finals appearances.
Lol again 84 > ______________.
lol, he was just talking about the people in the picture but if you want to include the class then there's around 4 MVP awards, 11 championships, 18 Finals appearances.

How did I include the class? I included the top guys just like he did? Lol derpy derp derp...
I can't even imagine how many more championships and Finals appearances there'd be for 84 if I included the whole class.

 EL OH EL.

You can't include the whole class for championships, odds are someone from each class is gonna be in the finals every year

exactly but he wants to try to imply I was trying to include the entire class when I was just including 5 players.

hmm as much as I want to say 84 was the best. I got to say 96 as a whole was the year.
BTW not that it matters, but I miss the 90s more than the 80s

'03 > '96 > '84 in terms of talent

If I had to build a team from one of the three it would be '84 > '03 > '96 in that order.

Yeah because we're going to be talking about Harrison Barnes, Anthony Davis, Perry Jones and and Jared Sullinger in the same breath as any of these classes.

Pretty much. There were four Top 25 players of all time in the '84 draft, but aside from that there wasn't much else (Otis Thorpe, Big Smooth, Alvin Robertson, Jerome Kersey the only other players of note). 1996 has three definite Hall of Famers (Ray Allen, Nash), including one Top 10 player (Kobe), and a bunch of decent to good role players and All-Stars.

 EL OH EL.
can you enlighten me on how many championships and final appearances they have? thanks

Edit: In terms of personal achievements, the '96 draft have 10 players who eventually become all-stars ( 11 if you count Ben Wallace), 2 players winning DPOY (counting ben wallace) and probably 4 future hall of famers. The depth of the talent in this draft is hands down greater than the '84 draft.

You didn't mention the best prospect in my opinion- Lamb, Barnes, Jones, Sullinger, Henson, Zeller, Teague, Syracuses starting 5
laugh.gif
, they all would have been top 5 picks last year.

I think I am more high on Lamb than anyone I have talked too, I would take him number 1.

Okay, in addition to the players I've mentioned: 1984 NBA Draft class includes (Besides Jordan, Dream, Stock, and Sir Charles) ...(Since you want to add All-Star games as a parameter now)
Alvin Robertson: 4x NBA All-Star, NBA DPOY

Otis Thrope: NBA Champion, NBA All-Star

Kevin Willis: NBA All-Star, NBA Champion

Then you have a bunch of random dudes winning championships like...

Rick Carlisle: NBA Champion,

For example...

Point is just from the four I mentioned they have enough achievements to go head to head with the entire 96 NBA draft class and I proved that already. You're just trying to add parameters to an argument, c'mon fam. If you're going to have a debate you can't start adding things like all-star games and irrelevant NBA championships as you go along.. That's ridiculous to say the least. As far as DPOY and HOFers the 4 I mentioned already trumps the entire 96 class so relax, 84 was the best.

Finals appearances? Really? The whole class? G.T.F.O. with that
laugh.gif
, you sound foolish.

Just a question to shoot out there....
Since Big Ben went undrafted, and we're talking about draft classes. Should he or should he not count for the 96 class? Opinions?
