Don't worry I'm here I actually haven't listened to it yet but I believe you guys if you say it's good I know Drake will come with some heat if he decides to respond thoAwwwsom and Nom de in they feelings OVO Mike nowhere to be found. This new diss is hot
Na man otherwise he wouldnt drop these 6 am in whatever city type joints. He still wants the respect of his peers in the rap game IMO. He wants people to respect his pen game. Otherwise why drop those kinds of records?
And those Hip Hop legends probably agree Drake makes good music but you think for a second Nas or any of them think Drake can see them with the pen? chill.. This would be his chance to prove himself. And as a hip hop fan and Drake fan it would be nice to see if he can really box with the greats(like it or not joey nice meek is trash doesnt count).
If aubrey wins a record exchange with dude I'm giving him props. If he kills Joe on wax u can't take that away from him. Not with a catchy club diss, I mean his words being better than Joe words there's nothing a ***** can say about that situation. The funny thing is if drake responds and its better then joes disses it won't matter dudes will say joe is a easy target and that he's had so many L's that a fire diss is expected ....you gain nothing from dissing someone who's as big a clown as Budden is
If kobe played on the same team as mj and Shaq he could have 10 rings... but he didn't and he can't so stop with the far left extremes. When he drops the blueprint with all original lyrics we will discuss that but it has 0 relevancy to anything everytime u bring it up.Like I've said before, Drake can drop 'The Blueprint' tomorrow with all original lyrics, and hip hop purists reactions would be:
He ain't really hip hop though
You gotta come the struggle to rap that stuff
He only made this album cause xyz
It doesnt even matter that a lot of the "OG" rappers have given Drake props/pass, the purists overlook that for some reason, and stick to their hate
Wu-Tang, DMX, Nas, Jay, all these cats give a Drake a pass
Don't say "it's good for business" cause they really dont have much to gain and a lot to lose for co-signing Drake
This debate will never end
Because it's rap.... y'all said he's a rapper right? Dudes excuse for him not responding to pusha or Kendrick is they never called him out by name. Pow a rapper called him out by name so what's the excuse now? It's not like a local Minnesota dude with no deal dissed him. It's on every single hip hop site u go on, front page. I can't stand Joe Budden but that was fire, there's nothing u can say about it. If he doesn't respond whatever he doesn't I don't expect him to anyway but if he's a rapper like y'all keep claiming he is, time to be a rapper and take this ***** head off. It's good for the "rap" game honestly. We can keep saying Joe is this and that but the industry respect his pen, even drake does. He doesn't respond he doesn't lose anything but if he does and wins he can be 2-0Why in the world would Drake respond?
And I agree with his fan base not caring but u will never know own what the purists would credit if it's not done. Has he made a blueprint? Or anything close to it to make that assumption? No. As far as original music he might very buried himself because to hip hop heads ghost writers is a sin. But responding is all in sport of hip hop, y'all claim he is a hip hop artist, that would be a hip hop move. Like I said, it's not like it's omelly or a new dude who's never been heard of. Emotional Joe had commercial success before, anyone who listens to rap know about the mood muzik series and most of the game respects his pen. It's hard because I hate both of them ****** but I recognize drake as a smart artist/businessman and Joe as a amazing lyricist. They both have many L's also but I'd be here all day going into that. I'm actually rooting for aubrey to respond and close the casket on emo Joe but Noone can deny that diss, joint was brutal.I was using that extreme to prove the point that no matter what Drake does (lyrically, etc)...hip hop purists will never credit it. Him not responding to Joe wont hurt his image to those who are truly fans of his
Him responding to Joe MIGHT win over a few purists for the moment, but ultimately they arent the ones going out and buying his music, which is what he is in the business in.
"If skills sold, truthfully, I'd be lyrically Talib Kweli"
Most of Drakes fanbase have no idea who Joe is to begin with, only Joe has a lot to gain from this, Drake, not so much
$tacy
Eminem the highest selling rap artist responded to ******* Benzino. Jay dissed 50 when 50 was up and coming.
Oh yea I definitely want to see drake respond
