I can understand why darkspeech is upset with Nike. You'd think they'd make the shoes at least more available for the tournament's country. It's kind of a shame that these SPs have to be so limited that they're nearly unattainable. It's not like they're using unicorn leather on them or anything. Are the materials on the French Opens any different than these other pairs (Lava, Clay, Turbo)?

And come to think of it, the US Open pair should've been available on a slightly wider scale, especially in the US. At least give 1 FSR to the boutiques (Bodega, Politics, Kith, Social Status, Concepts, etc.). If I'm not mistaken, those were only at Niketown in NYC and maybe at a shop at the tourney? Would've loved to had a pair of US Opens.

You can't say Nike is using the French Open. Anyone can be angry about how it's being distributed. Agassi, an Americsn athlete and icon and we don't get the shoe here except a few stores in the entire US and that still remains to be seen.

it is the ambiguity of history.
we can not say that Agassi is french.
but we find it strange, we French that Nike sells a product atc rolland garros for sp 2 and this product is not available to us.

and this product is not available for you either although Andre Agassi Americans. Nike organizes problems between populations.

We'll see if Nike plans to release it in more areas but when the US Open's released here it was one quick chance to get them. And Niketown in NYC screwed up the release by letting some people get 5-6 pairs.

Sounds like people need to build connects and stop complaining. Nike is a for profit company and they use the limited tag for certain releases nothing new its what theyve done for yrs and will continue to do cuz it works!!!

People who miss out on the slams will buy their GR releases

Its just shoes at the end of day. People feel entiltled like nike owe them something.

If Im not mistaken but the shoe isnt called French Open or RG it was inspired by Agassi

As someone who has been into shoes for over 20+ yrs. Its not always about having every shoe some of the best stories are the ones that got away.

This thread has been one of the most humble informative threads Ive seen on here but this release cant end fast enough for me.

As someone mentioned the best ATC II is the lava which Im glad Nike brought back.

I agree NYC757, plus the French Open name is not written on the box, only used but sites to attract attention, in my knowledge...

Anyway, Nike is too big and powerful for this drop in the sea.

It's like when complaining that some stores received the first colorway of Yeezy II and never sold them to public.

Nike doesn't care. At the end of the day, the more we complain, the more we talk about their product. It is just a business thing.

If Nike doesn't frustrate some people time to time, how would they sell their cheap General Releases?

By the way, I read somewhere that the Slams have the same GR quality leather ...NOP

Those SP, premium product has a better quality leather in my opinion.

But if you understand Nike's mentality...they don't feel the need to put that quality on GR lol

So we just have to wait, see and buy lol

At the first day of the tournament. Otherwise, 3 stores got them, one at reseller price (which was a shame for a store who has a Nike account), one sold 4 pairs to the public (because of the hype, employees have feelings too lol) and another one who did it in the friends and family first lol

With the French Open coming to a close, I decided to wear my Clays for the first time yesterday. They're very comfortable, although they do run slightly big (but not enough to go down half a size). They definitely won't be the only pair of ATCII's I buy this year.

Congrats to Masha on the women's title. I'm rooting for Nole to win the men's final.
