Ironic--The aspersions you've accused me of making are unfolding on your side as well. You don't even know, famb

I DON'T come from money or any sort of privilege in life. But this is NT and you can believe whatever is it you want to believe. What you eat, don't me ****.
I'm making jokes famb

I don't think in any of my comments I have made any assumptions about your background, or upbringing. I am simply mocking your rationale for being disrespectful at work. The other stuff was jokes about how things could escalate.

Seems like you can dish the disrespectful jokes, but got an issue when you are at the end of them.

Funny how that works, isn't it.

So again, maybe just watch your mouth at work.

Ehhh I think Hank Scorpio Hank Scorpio 's story about calling his subordinate a "baby *****" goes along with what we say about NBA players...they know who to test. I don't work in high finance but I have a lot of close friends that do so I'm aware of the culture. Working in the private sector at a large corporation portrayed as a "family company" with tons of media and corporate exposure is obviously different.

That's the beauty of the private sector. You're at liberty to continue working or leaving. No one holds a gun to your head, and you're fully made aware of what you're signing up for.

Don't like it? Don't work there. There's PLENTY of people who will sit in that seat. Simple as that. IDK why y'all don't get this.

Ppl tripping on the KD ****. He was asked this question last year, and left Steph off. ***** played with a lot of great players. You forget sometimes. It is what it is.
You really gonna forget a player you played 8 years with tho, which is more than half his career.

I dated long-distance solely for this reason. Never had to worry about being home for Taco Tuesday or worry about having to cancel a date night on a Thursday. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone but it worked for me
Worked out ehhh

Jk jk

>D

I don't know why you don't get you should try not to disrespect your employees.

This whole thing just comes off as you feeling entitled to act in a certain way, to certain people.

Why should anyone in here respect that?

Man, I was doing a workout class through the Nike Training Club app this morning and the instructor (ironically a white yamb) said numerous times "Make sure you keep a long, flat back" and I Instantaneously thought of this thread :smh:

If I wasn't currently on trial I would have something to say about your trainer and her comments.

Programs Designed Just For You

Our multi-week programs include a prescribed series of workouts, nutrition tips, and wellness guidance to help you build healthy habits and see results that last. Each program is led by a Nike Master Trainer and is designed to be flexible enough to fit into your busy life.

Damn, they weren't lying

I feel like it's relevant to mention that that supervisor we all hated, was from a financial background
And the company thought it was a good idea to put him in charge of a team at a tech startup :smh:

Man liked me the most because I often stayed late so he thought I had better work ethic than the others. He stupidly TOLD me this because he thought I wouldn't tell everyone else, whole time I was snitching on his ***. But the truth was I either had to finish work I slacked off on during the day or was going somewhere later and didn't see the point in returning home first when I had access to wifi, a bathroom, snacks and water right where I was at.

I agree with this. IMO, just because you CAN curse at your employees without threat of getting reprimanded due to your rank, it doesn't mean you should or that it's the best course of action. I consider that to be a stern, almost "leading by fear" approach. I have found it more effective to empathize with folks and be respectful because like with antidope antidope 's health situation or N41D N41D 's wife, you never really know someone's situation and I've gotten to know the people on my teams well enough to know if they can't make it, it's legit. I've also found that people are more willing to go that extra mile or work extra hours when you treat them that way. Sure, through both approaches they might work late but the difference in morale make a significant different in the work environment.

COme on Wavy. You aren't forgetting Russ WHILE naming damn Serge Ibakas.

Also...technically he still left Russ off the last time

I think he was asked to give his all-time and he went position based: kyrie, harden, himself, draymond, serge.

What we know for sure...is that KD ****s w/ Kyrie, Harden, and Serge more than anyone else apparently

 So few people understand this.

Many nights I stayed in the office, not because I had work to do. I just didn't want to go home, when I had everything I needed in the office.

A lot of tech startups hire MBA's to run their companies. That's nothing new.

I agree with all this. Obviously you're not speaking this way to people you're not comfortable being around. Or else why hire them in the first place? Finance is known to have some of the most stringent hiring processes around. You go through several rounds of interviews which lasts hours and won't fully wrap up until a few weeks out. At that point, you know who you're working with and if there's a "culture fit".

I think for the large investment banks and Hedge Funds , this issue of abuse will constantly persist. The culture is too entrenched for there to be immediate change. Smaller firms, or Private Equity firms operate a little differently. Thing's are more relaxed and the group's are smaller/tighter.

I started a Private Equity firm a few years back. We grown from 4 employees to about 35 within the span of a 6 years. Never had an issue with "disrespecting" my employee until now. The kid is a Gen Z'er

May someone please explain to me why he puts Kyrie over Steph? The man played had 3 seasons + 3 championship runs with Prime Steph....and has played 18 games with Kyrie. I know that's his mans but c'mon now. He also only played with OKC James...and that too was for 3 seasons and 9 games with James in Brooklyn.

Is it just because they are his teammates? If so, I would have just gone the "In no specific order" route.

I'm not sure if his list was in any order. They seemed to have been names that popped up into mind when trying to answer the question.

For the record--Steph was/is the greatest teammate he's ever played alongside. You said it best, 3 seasons, back-to-back MVPs, 3 championship runs back to back to back. No one else is ever touching this.

See...I wasn't sure either because it should be Steph but on First Take, they discussed it as if he listed them in order. To support their point, when KD amended his list he said "Oh yeah, Russ. I'm going to put Russ on there ahead of Klay." which kind of implies it was in order.

I'm not reading too much into it either way but was I curious if there was a case for Kyrie or Jim aside from them being his current teammates.

Kyrie and Harden are his homies of course he'd put them first.
