NBA schedule should be like 50ish games tbh, yeah we get to watch more games more often but quality been taking a hit and most fans get burnt out during regular season.

It would be better league overall if they actually put players health and safety first.

Meanwhile the NFL (which I perceive to be a more dangerous sport but I don’t have any hard data to back that up) just added an extra game The league isn’t cutting games especially with a new TV deal on the way.

I will note though that the NFL cut down significantly on injuries and games lost last season which they believe to be related to the decrease in mandatory offseason workouts and shorter preseason. Maybe the NBA could keep the same schedule and find ways to improve safety using similar methods.

The players voted for this season in major part so they wouldn't lose any more money. They were aware of the risks and compressed schedule and knew that postponements due to covid outbreaks would result in a loaded 2nd half schedule. FVV said as much they had other models they could have pushed for but everybody wanted as much green as possible.

We care about the quality when watching but the ppl in charge of the league only see dollars, so more games will always win out...Ideally it would be like 60 games max to get full entertainment value out of regular season games

They’ll take a few games off, issue a statement and keep it moving ...Nobody REALLY wants to do what it takes to stop all this from the law, corporate and cats actually in the street cuz empty gestures and short attention spans cover whatever issue
