Griff does seem like the kind of guy who tries to check all the boxes to your face and then acts like things were out of his control after.

JJ was really fiending to get to Brooklyn.
He's just never been that guy. Puts up insane videogame numbers but has actual little impact on winning.imagine a person who discredits everything Harden has accomplished defending Russ. Russ will go down as the quintessential statpadding overrated player.
He expected to get bought-out and was heading to Brooklyn, or one of the NE teams like Philly.is there really a market and demand for JJ redick
If your BK, do you even give up assets for him?
Dudes never wanna let Russ live
Will never ever hate on anyone giving 110% on a nightly basis regardless of playing style.
Never been a big fan of Beards playing style but that doesn't diminish the fact he's likely the best offensive player of the last 20-25 years and gets buckets every time out against everyone.
Russ's game might not nescarilly translate to winning ball but that doesn't change the fact he's one of the most relentless competitors in the history of the game. Adding that to what he does off the court and he's just about slander proof for me.
***** is clearly comfortable with losing as long as he gets his
I don't wanna hear about what a great competitor he is cuz he grimaces and chucks 30 shots
And Again CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW ITS POSSIBLE FOR THE BEST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE PAST 20-25 YEARS TO BE BELOW LEAGUE AVERAGE FROM THE FIELD & 3PT IN THE PLAYOFFS??
He's Missed the Playoffs Once in his career how does he not care about losing?
He isn't a competitor because he can't lead a team to a championship? what is the Criteria

Not saying he can't be criticized man, this thread is evidence of the opposite . I admit his game isn't efficient or conducive to winning basketball but I still love seeing someone going so hard consistently more often than not when it's really not the norm. I love seeing it from any player. How does he give “110%” when he rests on defense, gambles recklessly, leaves shooters open for rebounding opportunities and doesn’t move without the ball once he gives it up. Doesn’t set screens. Doesn’t do any of the “little” things, other than crash the boards and play with high energy/athleticism with the ball in his hands or going after rebounds.
I say all that to say he’s a probably top 10pg of all time, hall or famer and one of the best players of this past decade.
But it’s fair to be critical of him. He always a victim . ***** keep failing in embarrassing fashion. And instead of taking him up to task for it, it’s “leave Russ alone”. He plays hard.

Because playoff games aren't the only games?

We all know his limitations and he can definitely be undisciplined and liable to boneheaded decisions but it's the fact you can't ever get on him for dogging or half assing it that I respect so much. His energy and intensity is still unmatched and he's been at it for well over a decade, that's just different.
He drives purists crazy and he's not everyone's cup of tea I know but I'm a fan
Never once heard an ex-teammate take shots or say slick **** on his name either.
My thing is why is this only a problem for Russ, do you know how many "stars" we have that only play one side of the ball, that don't move w/o the ball, that put up big numbers & mid results but get praised because their play style is more appealing to the eye.
****** in this thread literally said that John Wall coming off of not playing ball in two years was a better player than Russ, it's always some extreme **** when it comes to Russ that's looked over when it comes to other players
Only you would say that Westbrook doesn't get taken to task or criticized enough But act like there's some Cointelpro going on against Steph Curry
You talking about Harden? it’s possible. See Carmelo Anthony
And I know you would never question Melos status as an all time great scorer
So let me get this straight.... The playoffs where you need to be at your very best to win....... is the time of the year he coincidentally chooses every year to say Nah i don't anna be the best anymore in fact i actually wanna be below average
Definitely wouldn't want Mike, Kobe, Bron, Steph, Shaq etc etc because **** the playoffs did you see that 60 piece in January
